I booked the hotel for a business travel and it was the best choice. It was very close to the work destination in a quiet zone. Very good and plentiful breakfast.

The Mercure Sophia Antipolis presents itself as a 4 Star Hotel. The bad truth is, that the hotel cannot even be considered a good 2 Star hotel. The outside walls are dirty and unkept. Our room was from the 60ties with a worn and dirty carpet. The bathroom furniture is also from the 60ties or 70ties and not in a good condition. The toilett is the same with a stained toilette bowl and in many places broken floortiles. We drove 13 nights....this was the worst stay we had. We sure will not come back and can only wonder how ALL Accor can have this hotel under their wings. The hotel should close for a major renovation or be downgraded to a 2 star hotel in the best case. Even this would not be fair to modern 2 Stars like B&B.

All needed facilities are in place, staff is friendly and helpful, check-in and check-our process was very smooth. Sustianable approach of the hotel is highly appreciated (possibility to refuse daily cleaning, water fountains available, etc.), bar and restaurant are good, too. Brakfast is quite overpriced compared to what is offered (warm food options are not impressive, pancakes made from flour mix shall be a no-go for 4 star hotels). Room requires a bit of modernisation (futniture and doors are becoming a bit shabby), although size of the room is good, bed is comfortable and big enough. My curtain in the room was really dirty, but after complaining, it was changed soon.
