We loved our room. For a week stay, we had plenty of room to unpack and relax. The bed was comfortable. We loved the separate toilet and shower area. Being able to access windows in the living area and bedroom was very nice and homey. Breakfast was delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. The reason we didn’t give it a 10 was because of a delayed check in. We interacted with three people during the two hour process. We arrived a before 1400. The first person said he would expedite the cleaning of our room and gave us a recommendation for a lunch place. We had lunch and returned to the front desk about 1430. A second person told us the room would be ready at 1500. We went out the courtyard and napped on the benches until 1500. A third person told us our room needed to be inspected. We remained in the lobby napping in the chairs until 1600 when we were told our room was ready. He gave us two free drinks at the bar but as silver members we already had this as a perk. With check in posted as 1500, our room should have been ready for 1500.

Superb location for weekend stay

I have been in this Hotel several years ago. This time it was the same very good experience. This hotel has spacious rooms. This is not chain style room with bathroom only. Breakfast is very good, but be aware that might be crowded. There is large reasonable priced underground garage but entrance is from the street behind hotel. Overall I strongly recommend this hotel, not just to see Checkpoint Charlie but whole Berlin
