Strange layout and outdated card system, but overall pretty okay

TripAdvisor rating 3.0/5

KatieandTom28 TripAdvisor review

A really weird hotel this. The layout is a little bizarre and so it took a while to get used to. Reception was friendly and easy, but I had trouble accessing the rooms due to the rubbish, outdated, painful swipe card system. If the card is half a second too long or too short in the door it just won't open. To access stairs, you have to walk past a huge bunch of rooms, as the only staircases are the fire exits at the ends of the building. One and only lift is slow and can barely fit three people. But the rooms are decent enough, the bed comfy and shower good. Overall if the price is right I'd stay again but would probably be more interested in trying something else.

Room allocated was fine, but was set up for family so had to put the sofa bed away on arrival. No spoons in room is odd. Breakfast options need improving; I don’t want to have eggs/bacon etc, just a porridge pot. I buy my own as I’m won’t pay £12 for one from your breakfast bar; how about a lower £ option for those that just want to take a pot and some fruit/yoghout?
