Visited this property April 11th thru April 14th 2024. Right at this time of the year, the weather gets warmer and the hotel does not have the A/C working. They gave me an odd excuse saying that the city of Cologne needed to give them permission to turn on the chiller. We had to sleep with the windows open on a noisy street and exposed to sunlight early in the morning.

Well located hotel, really nice room, however the aircon did not work properly which resulted in the room being unbearably hot. Workman directly outside window, starting early in the morning so opening window not an option.

Overall the stay was nice. The staff were friendly and the hotel clean. A couple of things to work on are, the rooms are hot. We asked why the rooms were so hot, and the staff said that it is the central heating and there is no air conditioning in the rooms. So we had to sleep with the windows open to cool things down. This meant a broken sleep with sirens and people talking easily heard throughout the night. Even though it was only 3 degrees outside, the rooms were still too hot. The breakfast is overpriced at 31 euro. It is significantly more than we paid elsewhere in europe and the selection was limited compared to others.
