Warm Moroccan hospitality and luxury on the Mediterranean

What a delightful gem along the Moroccan Mediterranean coast! Just returned from a five-night stay with my daughter and sister where we were treated with such warm hospitality that we truly hated to leave. The entire staff was so welcoming and genuinely devoted to making our stay comfortable and happy in all ways. Special thanks to Yasmine and Soukaina in reception, Yassir, Ayman and Tyba in the restaurant, Fatima and Zahra and the entire spa and Hammam team (what a delightful experience, not to be missed!), Naoufal by the pool, the wonderful caped doormen (so dashing!)…really everyone (I apologize if I did not get your name). We really enjoyed the generous breakfast and a long leisurely dinner with drinks at the end of the day. The entire hotel was very well-cared-for and our rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Great bathroom and very comfortable beds….Sofitel Tamuda Bay, Shukran Bezzaf for making our stay so very lovely!

We were a group and six and requested an extra bed. They got us the small foldable bed. We took the junior, royal and another single room in the same floor. I approached the check-in desk to replace the bed with a normal bed since the hotel occupancy was very low as the season did not start yet and my back started getting pain from sleeping on the foldable bed. At the start, he said it is not possible then I explained to him that they can do as they are movable and rooms occupancy is low. He then Lied to me and said tomorrow all rooms are taken. At that point I did not want to argue and just left him. We are not kids and he should have just said it’s not possible or any other proper reasoning. Such non-professional staff are the reason why guests will never come back again. FYI, we extended an extra night and saw that indeed it was not a full house :) And thanks God there are many beautiful hotels in M’diq with staff who am sure are more professional and honest.
