Unfriendly personnel and check-in and invoice process very unpleasant.

The personnel both at the check-in and the check-out was very unfriendly and not helpful. At the check-in it was rather forcefully demanded that I pay immediately but was not given an invoice which I asked for. As a reason it was given that invoices are created at midnight and can’t be printed earlier. At the check-out I was also not given an invoice and was told that the “system is on maintenance”. An odd sheet of paper was pushed to me where I had to write my company address that I needed on the invoice. The invoice should come by e-mail. Due to the behavior, I was not very optimistic and indeed the invoice never came as it was promised. As a platinum member, I have a lot of experience with stays at different hotels of the ALL group. I have never heard or experienced of anything like what was given to me as reasons for denying me an invoice. The room itself fulfilled its purpose for a short night before a flight. Not the standard of Mercure hotels in Central Europe, but what shalls.

Nice hotel

When we arrived and went to the lift area you could smell someone had been smoking but not cigarettes if you know what I mean. The bar lady was not very good at making cocktails, they didn't taste very good. Food in the evening was nice, very comfortable bed but noisy people walking in the corridor with no thought that other guests where trying to sleep at 2am. The night reception man was very helpful with getting us a taxi to the airport, the taxi cost us £40 It would normally be £25 for a taxi but our taxi driver had to wait in the entrance for 20mins for us as our entrance didn't open till 5am and we was early.

Housekeeping needs tuition

Stay was comfortable as always. But the housekeeping needs attention. When the room is made up the cleaner fails to replace used cups and only rinses them with water. The sugar is not replenished and last week a used wine glass was left in the room. The waste bin was not taken and replaced with a clean liner. It seems the housekeeper only remakes the bed and very little else.
