Desk chair in the room was removed as soon as I arrived to sit on it as it was filthy,I took it out into the hall room 510 . I went to breakfast in the morning and the steel containers that hold spreads when i pulled one off the one underneath was filled with dishwasher water and old food not a small amount it was disgusting and the lady next to me showed me a bug in her banana spread. the next day I asked for room service breakfast and reception told me to order at the kitchen went to the restaurant and they advised they dont take the order and sent me back to reception. I asked if I could order toast and spreads and they advised if its not on the menu ...NO.... The night before in the room i QR coded the link to order breakfast for the next morning and the QR code didn't link to the breakfast menu just the dinner menu...I went down to reception to show them...... that's when they sent me to the dining room to order The next morning the breakfast it didn't arrive at 7.30am they forgot and I had to ring them I order smashed avo no egg but with mushrooms it arrived with no mushrooms and not fresh smashed avo mushy green yuk... really poor. Ring me if you need clarification.04…

This was my third time staying in Novotel Geelong, and as a Platinum member I didn't feel as well treated as my previous two visits. I had called and asked in advance if there was a possibility for a room upgrade or a room with a better view, and the staff member on the phone responded that there was nothing he could do. In addition, the phone in my room was faulty and I had to use my mobile phone to contact the front desk to order room service. The overall experience made me feel like I was an ordinary guest and not an Accor Plus member.
