Text: Nice and quiet hotel, about 15 minutes walking from the main railway station. I got a large room on the top (4th) floor. A nice balcony, but because terrible weather (a lot of rain), I couldn't sit outside. Staff friendly and professional and a cosy bar/restaurant. Dependable WiFi. And a safe provided. Only a strange thing happened after the first night. The evening before I had purchased some drinks at the local REWE and put them in the minibar. When I came back to the hotel, the next day they were gone. And so was the tip I had left a my pillow for housekeeping, while the room hadn't been serviced yet. I reported it to reception. Upon departure the next day, the hotel staff had found my drinks and told me that a staff member in charge of the minibar had made a mistake by clearing it out because he/she thought I had left. But why would he/she think that while my clothes were still in the room and the room clearly was occupied? And why would he/she take the tip on the pillow that was left there for the cleaning staff? It was all a bit of a mystery. It is good for the hotel to invest in extra security, because the elevators had keyreaders, but you didn't have to use them. Anyone could go up just by pressing the floor button. And on the day of departure my keycard was already blocked when I came back after breakfast to get my bag. At reception they unblocked the card without me being asked for any proof of my identity. So, I could have gotten a keycard for any room in the hotel I requested without identification.

poor customer service and no recognition as a diamond member, slow checkout and checkin operation. Beds and rooms were comfortable.
