We stayed one night before catching a ferry. Really helpful, friendly staff, easy dining experience (we were able to take our meals back to the room which was a big plus for us after a long day). Car parking was expensive though.

I stayed one night at this hotel and pleasantly surprised. The rooms were not the largest, but were well equipped and laid out. The main reception / bar / restaurant area had some good extras for comfort. It was an easy walk to most areas of the city. Parking is limited but reasonably charged (£12) for a days stay.

Slightly cautious when booking 3 rooms for myself and other relatives but we were all really satisfied with our stay. Whilst having to pay £12 for your car park is a bit steep it is in line with all the parking facilities in Portsmouth but needs to be more clearly shown up front! Overall the rooms were adequate for a short stay as long as you were slim enough to use the bathrooms! And the staff were all very pleasant. The breakfast was very good and the catering team maintained the food availability and keep the dining area clean. So overall no complaints.

This ibis is ideally situated. We were attending the New Theatre Royal which is only a stones throw away. Nice modern hotel with a first class buffet breakfast.
