Overall good, but bad road to the building

The road to the building is in very bad condition. It ruins all the other good things in this hotel - it is the first and the last thing that guests see when checking in and out. Please fix the road and your guests will be happy!

Had a comfortably stay for 2 days. Room was very clean. Regret to see that they changed bathroom hygiene stuff, shampoo and body gel to dispensers and no body lotion. They used to be in little tubes that I prefer. May be good for environmet. Novo style hamburger was delicious. Still missing wraps wilth solmon and cheese. Thanks to everyone. Especially, Ceyhun, Murat, Adem and Selim for their excellent support.

Stayed here for two nights while visiting the Black Sea in the Trabzon area. Some issues with the infrastructure, but staff were very welcoming and warm. Was a good stay for the value!

Novotel needs to train staff about hospitality

If one needs to learn about 5star hospitality then this property is an institution because it teaches you everything "What not to do". No one smiles (receptionist, restaurant, room cleaning staff). I saw poor reviews related to this but thought it would have been a personal feedback but the service in this hotel is pathetic. Offcourse speaking English is not common in Trabzon but people outside in general are so nice and polite that they make an effort to help you and keep smiling and trying. To make things worse we are Vegetarians and to explain that to this 5star staff is to invite their rude stare "then why did you come here". Starts with the guy at the reception and the trainee and the bell boy (who stops in the room after getting luggage imploring you and almost threatening you for a Tip). I asked the trainee to show me an executive room and he says that we will give you the price difference and if you like it we will show you the room. The receptionist is a street smart alec who without speaking tells you that you better stay in the room that you have booked because you dont look the type who wants a sea side view. I changed to Ramada for additional 2 nights and thank god for it. Novotel needs to get their act together if they care for their brand. Why should smiling be such an arduous difficult task ???
