This place is well located but the beds are to hard especially the pillows , woke up with headache from pillows. Definity not enought food optios on the menu from breakfast, luncch and dinner especially if you are using this hotel as a base we were forced to go to Kiama to find more food options.

Poor maintenance

We stayed at Mercure Gerringong from 5th April to 7th April, 2024. The reservation was made under the name, Mr. Chandra Shekhar S. Room numbers were: 312 and 313 We chose rooms with balcony. Room 313 balcony did not open and inspite of putting in a request for it to be opened no action or response was given. We have paid $60 per room per night extra which totals to $120. I would like this amount to be refunded back to us as the room was with no balcony access. We also requested for one shaving kit and one dental kit which after being confirmed was not given to us. There was a credit of $7.78 which was without being asked taken out of our account, I understand it may not be a significant amount but without our consent is not an ethical practice. The property is made very well but the service was below expectations.

Very disappointed with the cleanliness. Dirty cutlery in the drawer. Filthy, smelly tea towel. Congealed hair in the bathroom vanity basin drain. The outdoor area was appalling. Bird business on the table and the chairs were dirty. The whole area was unkept, mouldy, mossy pavers and the shrubbery in desperate need of trimming and cleaning up. No flyscreens on the sliding door so couldn't have any fresh air in. The screen on the window was just hanging so couldn't open that either. Very unhappy. The bed was comfortable as a positive.
