The hotel is under a major renovation of the guest rooms on every floor! The hotel should not be open. Work began on my floor at 7:11 am on 15 April after being reassured it would not begin before 9 am however, either way, it is a hotel for rest and I should determine what time I go to sleep and get up each day. I tried to phone the reception in the evening but the telephone in the room does not work! I had a queen room with one pillow and one tiny pillow and one blanket. I paid the full price for one person and prefer more pillows. I was unable to get any help due to the phone not working—ridiculously terrible service. no light switches at the headboard. dim light and not adequate for reading in bed. old decor

Overall good, despite renovations ongoing. Speed of the elevator good be better. The team is friendly, helpful and engaged. Very good location for downtown Dortmund. Need to relogin a couple of times during the stay. Bar / Breakfast area could be refurbished in the coming years. „Modern Art Deco“ style is a little outdated.

Good location, nice room. Small issues on arrival: shower wash bottle was empty, room safe was locked. After complaining at the reception, the former was fixed, the latter not (but we did get a drink when I mentioned this again upon checkout). Poor internet. Elevator out-of-order, but not needed with our room on the 1st floor. Poor wifi quality, kept disconnecting on ipad. Fortunately my phone service has large roaming package.
