Well located, but too much expensive

I have booked my reservation online in February for one bed classic room and paid for it and for tax online, but when I arrived I faced many issues as following: 1- I have arrived at 9am , but I haven't allowed to check in untill 3 pm which caused me double tiredness. Really hope to solve this issue. 2- I didn't get my one bed classic room at all , instead of this I have got a two single beds close to each other, and didn't receive any refund because it has different price. 3- you make me paying the tax twice one online with the reservation and second time when I made the check out . 4- I hopefully asked for my entire receipt at the hotel but I received only the tax receipt.

Allow me to reply to our mentioned points: I can see you booked a single classic room occupancy with agent "Destinations of the World", and were allocated in a Classic twin room. Please note that there is no rate difference when booking for one or two persons. This means, you received the room you booked. Your booking is excluding the city tax (also referred as "Tourist tax") of 12.5%, and paid this upon check out. This information is being mentioned by your Travel Agent at the moment you confirm your booking. Should this not be the case, please feel free to address this directly to the related agent where you booked your stay as they are responsible for providing the correct content to their customers. As you booked and pre- paid your stay, excluding the city tax, at Destinations of the World, you can request for an invoice there. We provided you with the invoice of the charges you paid in our hotel. April 2024 Booked two nights at $332 a night. Our flight was canceled from Boston to Amsterdam. I called to let the hotel know we would not be arriving that evening as planned. The lady at the desk said it was too late to cancel. We would have to pay for that night. When we arrive the next day, we were exhausted from the overnight flight. We asked if breakfast was included in our rate. The from office Manager (Simona) said no. We asked if there was a restaurant near by where we would get breakfast. She said no. We paid the hotel $332 for a room we did not get because of the canceled flilight. Under those circumstances, would the hotel include breakfast? Simona said no. I thought that was pretty mean spirited.

First of all, I can imagine the distress a cancelled flight has given you. The hotel booking you selected- with breakfast excluded- with Accor has a free cancellation policy of 1 day prior to your arrival date, meaning cancelling is free until 31 March 15.00h in your situation. This is a typical unforeseen incident and charge you can claim back with your Travel Insurance. Our team member responded correctly that breakfast was not incuded in your rate, as you requested to have complimentary during your stay due to your flight being cancelled. I do regret and apologize for not being able to having fulfilled your expectations at that point.. Besides this, we hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay with us.
