« Very bad experience for the first time in an Ibis hotel »

This is the very first time we stayed in an Ibis hotel and are 100% dissatisfied In the morning, both my wife and I woke up with back pain after a terrible night It appeared that the beds in our room were completely worn out and need urgent replacement. One of the reasons why we book Ibis is for the consistent quality of their beds We were staying overnight during a 2000 km + road trip, so a good night sleep was essential. In addition it appeared that the reading lamp at the left bed was defective, another sign of poor maintenance. So this stay was absolutely not value for money as we expect from Ibis, so completely unacceptable. (Please be informed that we stayed in this same hotel at the beginning of our road trip and everything was OK as we expected) In the morning during check-out, we voiced this serious complaint to the lady at the front desk. The only thing she said was : “I am sorry to hear this, I will take a note of it”. That was it. Very disappointing again. We got the impression that nothing was done with this complaint. I immediately submitted a formal complaint via the Accor website when we arrived back home, After receiving no reaction at all, I sent a reminder. Still no response. Today I finally contacted the Customer Service who informed me they never received any complaint... So in addition, it seems that the Accor systems are defective or that my complaint was not handled appropriately or was simply ignored. Conclusion : Extremely dissatisfied overall

Despite the first day being a canicule and the second day rain and storms we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is so convenient for going into the centre of Bordeaux and even though the tram was not running right through the bus connection was quick and easy.

The hotel was clean and tidy as we expected.But the one downfall was on arrival at the hotel after the quoted time to arrive our room was not ready for occupancy,after a long drive in the heat this was not as we wanted.The only option given to us was to leave our suitcases and wait for our room to be readied which was annoying to say the least.

Visited for the demi-finales rugby Top14 (Allez les Rouge et Noire!). Typical IBIS-hotel, but staff is very helpful and makes the difference. Keep up the good work!

A quick 2 day visit to Bordeaux. Free parking and almost opposite the 2€ tram. Good Breakfast and nice friendly staff made the stay. Second time we have stayed and will be back in future. No complaints.
