« Property/Rooms are not well maintained »

Booked Novoteil in advance of reaching Paris. The front desk was helpful in navigating me to the city and back. The food was very good. But there ended the goodwill. The A/C and air in my room was faulty and did not work. When I approached the front desk, they sent someone to look into it and the mechanic confirmed that the vent air was faulty. I asked the front desk to switch my room but they told me that they are full, I had an option to leave the property or stay without air. When I asked for the manager, they said he is not available and another receptionist talked to me and told me that all mechanics have left for the day and that they can only repair it the next morning. I told them that I was leaving the next morning and it would do me no good. Instead of being apologetic for the situation I was put in, the front desk was unhelpful and rude. In the room, the bathroom had an intense smoke-smell, so much so that I kept the door shut to the bathroom entryway as I did not want the smell to get on my clothes. Except for the bedside lights, none of the other lights worked in the room. The outlets were also non-functional, leaving me with only 1 working outlet to charge my phone and computer. The stay was not pleasant and I will not be recommending this Hotel to any of my colleagues.

- Breakfast didn't have much choices - Some people were helpful and some staff was rude. - I usually stay at Novotel Gare De Lyon. This was a step down compared to that in terms of service and cleanliness.

« It is unacceptable to not have clean showers »

The shower in my room had not been cleaned certainly since weeks. I had to call reception to get a sponge and cleaning products to clean myself. Looking at the state of the shower it is not a case that the cleaning person forgot once but that it had not been cleaned for a long time. The gentleman at reception was very nice.

Our stay at this hotel got off to a bad start when my 12 year old son found a used condom wrapper behind the sofa bed. We understood that we get a room with separate beds for the children but we had a double sofa bed. I gave a score this high for the quality of the evening meal, breakfast and helpful staff. We have stayed in a number of Novotel hotels in France and the standard of this one is poor in comparison.

Over all experience was alright. The only improvement opportunity i see for the hotel is in terms of providing a more better experience to the customer. E.g. the complimentary water bottle should be given daily, the chef should have the flexibility of mixing the food preferences within the provided menu. As there is limited option of food, the chef / kitchen should be able to provide options to mix and match the food preferences as provided in the menu.

« Bad night! »

Because of some fire in the hotel, we stand more than 1 hour on the Parking in the middle of the night. The evacuation was not efficient and even chaotic. The rest of the night was not restful anymore. Even the breakfast was chaotic. Not cleared tables, no possibility to get sparkling water and not well refilled orange juice, cheese and bread was also a very bad experience. More than 180 Euro for a not restful night and a very bad breakfast is not what I expected from NOVOTEL.

Good stay overall. Best hotel in the Creteil area. Owners should invest some $ to update hotel but the staff was all great, especially Marie at the front desk.

« Old hotel, bad service »

My stay was very chaotic. First there was no booking, then I got a room that was in really bad shape. Stained carpets, moldy smell. However I could change the room to a renovated one. A little later, the curtains fell down and stayed on the floor for the next 2 days although I told the staff several times. And finally, on the last day, a plate of the ceiling in the bathroom was hanging down showing cables and everything underneath. Staff was friendly. Would never stay here again.

« Orignal booking was cancelled by notice of poor simple e-mail. Even shortneded stay, several issue happened »

This was one of worst experience in my life of business (and private) trip booking. Please do investigate and not repeat again. There are 3 topics. 1. I originally booked June 19 to 24. Then, on few days before travel, I got mail on June 17 from Novotel Creteil (refer below), mentioning booking was not possible. So I forced to change plan to stay Ibis cretails for first 2 days, then, 21 to 24 for Novotel. The first issue is communication. You send simple e-mail without showing no alternative option even you have Ibis Cretail near the hotel. Then, 2nd mail, you also mentioned June 20 also not possible. With this poor communication. Please this poor booking mistake (system issue???) will never happen again. Also right way of communication I waste time just before business trip. ---- > Dear guest, > > You’ve just tried to make a booking for the 19/06/2018. And we received a message error because we are full for this date. > We want excuse us but we can’t accept your reservation. > > Best regards, > > Marie, Reception. 2. At check in, even I was forced to change booking, no excuse message and front desk did not know about what was happened to me. In addition, I did not get any gold member room amenity. 3. For laundry, very poor order sheet. (copy but side of the copy is vanished and cannot read all description). The order sheet also have translation error. In English, no laundry date was Sunday and National Holiday. However, original French is Saturday, Sunday and National Holiday, Due to this, I plan to ask laundry service on Saturday but it was missed. Please check laundry order sheet and check translation of the service day of week. Then, when I am asking front desk, the attitude of Font desk was not good, not excuse for translation error. In addition, 7-8 Euro for under shorts/Pants are too expensive comparing to other Accor bland hotels. Pleease consider reasonable pricing. Please correct 3 items, especially 1 is very serious. I have diamond member of Hilton, Platinum of IHG but never had such issue for 20+ years. I apprentice your understanding and action.

« Lost my breakfast for a disorganization »

Morning I go to take my breakfast and I find an asiatic group of tourists which took literally all food. I cannot wait because of my work so I decide to do not have it but...hotel invoices me anyway saying that this was the option I took!!! Result they just gave me 2000 points on my accord card but the way they managed the situation was really disorganized !

Check in was no problem, friendly and OK. (6) The entrance door to the room was jamming. (0 ) The room was a bit grubby, especially toilet. A restoration would be useful. (3) The dinner in resteaurant was OK (7) The breakfast was below expectations (tasting + asortment). Service was not attentive enough to replace timeworn juice or rolls. (2)

This hotel is very nice and safe, with an outstanding view at the Lac despite the fact that the area overall seems to be a not so safe area (?) according to my friends in Paris. The hotel is very clean and the staff is welcoming and accommodating. The bus line and tram stations are very close and the hotel has lot of parking spaces. It is close to everything (shopping, business, hospitals in Creteil). The only negative point is that at the main entrance, there is no ramp to ease rolling of the luggage in an out the hotel; only steps, and when you have heavy luggage or are handicapped, or just tired from a long trip, it is not convenient to manage with luggage on steps. Overall, very satisfied with my stay.
