« Great hotel, lovely location, great staff »

We stayed for 7 nights and were very happy with the whole experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, comfortable and well maintained, had air-con and s small fridge. We asked fro a quiet room away from the pool side and got exactly what we asked for. The inclusive breakfast was really good and set us up well for the day. The hotel is well appointed for access to both the old town (a 5 minute drive) and motorways and is in a quiet cul-de-dac surrounded by trees. We would definitely stay there again. The only tiny negative for me was that decaf coffee wasn't readily available.

Convenient location. Bed comfortable. Staff friendly. Air conditioning worked adequately but not fantastically well. Carpet not enormously clean Pool OK. Shower ran hot and cold with no human intervention (disconcerting)! Socket at bedside came right out of the wall when I unplugged my phone charger. I expect better from Novotel. Also the bar closed early. Getting back at midnight from a concert which didn't end until 11.30, we couldn't have a drink - even coffee! A very kind receptionist got us a bottle of cold water, which was very welcome.

Correct, Hall cleanliness below average but OK in room, Very helpful service (except they forgot wake-up call). The only real negative point was that we wanted to stay one more night and although there was a room available we were informed that we had to vacate it before 8.00 am because they "were changing the mattresses"!!!!

« An Experience not to forget »

I often travel through France and knowing the General Poor Quality of French Hotels I would normally spend the one night required at a Ibis Hotel as although basic you know what you get. I have never awarded one star but I feel this hotel warrants it. The hotel corridor carpets are badly stained and this continues into the rooms which for cleanliness leave a lot to be desired. The room we were allocated overlooked the adjoining motorway and due to the poor insulation makes for a disturbed nights sleep. The double glazing is of such poor quality that the sealant had melted and run down inside the sealed unit making the noise insulation ineffective. Because of this it is impossible to leave the window open, the heat problem became worse when we found during the night that the air conditioning did not work. IF anybody does consider staying at this hotel they INSIST ON A ODD NUMBERED ROOM. As we arrived late we had Dinner at the hotel and, as my wife is Vegetarian she ordered a plain omelette. When it came it contained ham we pointed this out to the staff who told us that she had ordered a full omelette. They were informed that this was never the case and they then agreed to cook another, when this arrived it was raw inside and uneatable. The next morning at Breakfast it was obvious that Coach Trip had been there before us as there was very little left. We had to repeatedly ask staff to replenish items which, they appeared reluctant to do so. After 9am I approached Reception and asked to speak to the Manager I was informed that he had not yet arrived. I insisted on their ringing his/her mobile to which no response was received. After explaining my complaint I was assured that the Manager would either phone or e-mail me later that day needless to say I have heard nothing and, now that I am back at home I will be voicing my complaints to Novotel Head Office

Lovely service, good size room with slightly dated furniture. The only thing that bothered us was that during the week there are lot of business meetings and as we were on family holiday we felt a bit uncomfortable walking around in our holiday outfit with all the business people around. Maybe a room on a different floor could have worked better.

The rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff very friendly. The location is a bit far from the city and next to a highway, can be noisy. Carpets in the corridor and room have stains. I did not like much the plastic shower box. We did not try food at all so can’t comment on that.
