« Not the experience I hoped for »

The hotel seemed nice and the checkin process easy. The hotel restaurant- we had a waiter that wasn’t happy we asked for a few more minutes to look at the menu. So then he started to ignore us. Another server after 15 minutes of waiting finally came to take our orders. When we received our food I had asked for my meat to be cooked just a wee bit longer. They forgot to bring it back and when they did it was cold. By this time it was already 10:15 pm and we had sat down around 9pm. I couldn’t finish my steak since it was so late and asked to take it upstairs with me. The waiter who had been rude earlier said I couldn’t. He said I had to eat it now or he would take it away. I took it off the late and put it on a napkin. I went to the front desk and told the man who understood more English. He helped me by speaking with the staff. He told me they said that because what if I took it to my room and got sick and blamed them. ( room service is the same restaurant, not sure what the difference is?). They brought me a small plate and I took it upstairs. The next day I put the sign on my door not to enter my room. Apparently that meant just give me to to sleep. When I can back later that day( and I had left a lot of my stuff out) they entered and refreshed room and made bed. Apparently I had to let them know I didn’t want them to enter.... just a frustrating visit!!!

We have stayed at the several times on our travels in France and have always been very satisfied. The hotels staff, the rooms, the restaurant, breakfast room and atmosphere are fantastique. The hotel has parking and is very well located for exploring Avignon and the region. Another positive is that the hotel has had an excellent remodeling project. We will be staying at the hotel during our future trips.

Well the weather was hot, the air con was not working, only blowing hot, we were not told, so we put it on, and it made the room unbearably hotter, really uncomfortable, because we were not told!! We decided to eat in the Butcherie restaurant turned up 8pm fully booked!!! really annoying!! now we had to walk miles to the nearest place for food, rubbish service,

The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment at the moment, it is doing a very good job on maintaining a standard The only downside was the restaurant which basically only serves meat dishes, there should be a better selection of other dishes I ordered an escalope of veal what I received could only be described as awful, it was deep fried in oil which oozed out of the batter when it arrived on my plate

« Certainly a good stay despite works for renovation »

The guestroom given upon arrival was noisy (due to lack of isolation from the fitness room closeby) (boum boum boum..) I therefore asked for another room away which was kindly given to me at the opposite. Otherwise very quiet, and practical with restaurant in a remote area but central for business meetings around.

My first stay 22/11 , the chamber had a bad odar of mildew or sanitation gas , I had to change chambers for the following nite which was an improvement . Also there was a large plant in a pot at the entrance which had fallen over and was very inconvienent ! I stayed again 26/11 and the plant remained tumbled ! Not a good impression for the hotel especially with the other complications of the constructions . I will return on April 16 and hope all these problems are corrected !!! The room was good. But that's it... The whole place feels like a guest house and like a hotel. Location is very bad. The hole ways between the rooms were dirty. The building is old. The atmosphere is bad.

There appeared to be some sort of refurbishment underway but no reflexion in charge. Staff were ok but we were booked for 3 nights and decided to leave after 1.

Hotel grounds a building site as new upper floor construction ongoing, facilities are poor, meals in restaurant terrible one returned as cold. Bedroom very good and newly refurbished, toilet very small (especially if you are big) with no hand washing facilities -separate from bathroom

« Lovely hotel. Will be even better once the renovations are completed. »

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were a good size with comfortable bed. Location was perfect - easy to get into the town, TGV railway station and motorway. Only negative was the music in the restaurant. We stayed for a week and heard the same irritating, monotonous music every day! Not my type of music at all and something a bit more soothing would have been nice.

Due to on going construction the entry exit was very difficult , with the street being blind and dangerous at the automatic port. Also the single covered comforter is way too heavy for the season & there were no alternitives , Guests should be notified when booking about the construction , there should be a discount offered for this inconvience .
