« not all good »

Position is excellent. Staff and food very good. The room is very small and cramped, a settee is installed obviously to accommodate a further two peopl..This means that the bed is crammed up against the shower room wall leaving approximately six inches in which to swing your legs to the floor. Not good at all for elderly and arthritic guests. The balcony is tiny and the so called 'sun loungers' are actually deck chairs! Again, totally unsuitable for elderly or infirm guests, of which there were many. This sort of cheapskating turns what could have been a superb experience into a disappointing stay.

The staff was very helpful and professional. However, one slight issue is that for dinner, there were not always adequate meal for people who do neither eat meat nor drink alcohol. Sometimes in the fish menu, there was champagne in the sauce.

I spendt a very pleasant time with jogging amidst forest natives :black pigs called "sangliers",walkîng all along the sea with ducks called"bernaches"and bubbling in hot seawater baths or under spell like tropical rain...and eating shells and fish so tasty A paradisiac stay under the sun and just a wish : be back soon

This was our third trip to the hotel. I came with my sister for the brocante at St Trojan and for a ´luxury night’ . The salt pool is brilliant, the buffet meal on Friday night was excellent and sipping an aperitif on the terrace in the evening sunshine was just what we needed. Perhaps I didn’t make clear on my booking that we needed two single beds as opposed to a double but it was very quickly sorted out. Thankyou!

The hotel is a bit out of the way and the approach does feel a bit like you are being sent away to a clinic for your health (the front drive and gardens could really do with some tidying up as the kerb appeal isn’t great), but the views over the bay are well worth it. The communal areas of the hotel are smart if a bit bland, and the pool looked very municipal - we didn’t use it. We paid quite a bit extra for an Executive room overlooking the sea which, although the view was fantastic, was a little disappointing. It was quite cramped and very dull; everything was white except two tiny cushions and a drab brown sofa, which rather reinforced the clinic feel. Having said that, it was kept very clean, the bed was about the most comfortable I have ever slept in, and the complementary soft drinks in the mini bar was a nice touch (although in this day of plastic reduction some proper glasses and mugs would have been appreciated rather than the very flimsy daily disposables). We ate twice in the restaurant which seemed a bit pricey and had a very limited daily set menu but was tasty enough. One incident of note - through no fault at all of the hotel I had a fainting fit at the dinner table one evening. Fortunately for me the guest at the next table was a doctor and looked after me extremely well. The hotel staff, on the other hand, although they called an ambulance (not required), gave the impression they just wanted me away from the restaurant as soon as possible and seemed very happy to delegate responsibility for me to another guest. And very disappointingly no one called the room in the next couple of days to check how I was, which I thought rather poor for a “health resort”.

« 30th wedding anniversary weekend »

As it was a very special weekend, we wanted to book a special hotel room and experience. Check in was great. We were made to feel very welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. We had booked an executive sea view room. The room was nice although for executive we were expecting a slightly more spacious room. As there was a nespresso machine in the room, we were very disappointed to find paper cups for hot drinks. Again, we expected that little bit more from the executive booking. Also a little disappointed when we returned to our room on the second day to find that the room had not been cleaned or tidied. The fridge had been restocked though! The view was amazing...as expected. We had dinner in the restaurant and drinks in the bar on our 2nd night. The service and food was fantastic

« Great stay in a lovely location »

This is our fourth visit and the public area on the ground floor has been much enlarged and improved since our last visit. The location is perfect. The deck/terrace was the centre of our group activity. Very pleasant. We ate several dinners in the hotel and were impressed by the quality of the food and by the helpfulness of the staff. The Maitre d' was friendly and helpful as were all of the waiting staff. Fish buffet on Friday night well worth the trip. On one day, we hired bikes and cycled around the island almost entirely on cycle tracks. Really good family entertainment. The person in charge of cycle hire in the hotel was extremely helpful, fitting us out with various sizes of bikes and even a helmet for the one year old. We had two rooms, one looking out at the sea and another looking at the forest. Both well equipped. Great pool and staff. The only slightly negative side to the visit was checking in. I have a platinum Accor card but the hotel did not seem to know that. Not their fault I guess. A system fault? My daughter's family arrived at 14.00 on the day after our arrival and were told that their room could not be available until 16.00. They had flown from London, getting up at 03.00 and the one year old baby was just about at the end of his tether. Sandrine (who checked us in) tried hard for us but housekeeping apparently could not budge. Eventually the manager solved the problem (within 2 mins) for which we were truly grateful. We will certainly be back.

All was perfect! Tremendous improvement on the restaurant side. Fresh products only, great variety of choices and lovely cooking, flavours and dressings. On the room side, some changes too with new beddings and linen. On the spa side, new offers and an always very professionnal team !

« Very quiet and nice hotel »

We had a very nice 3-nights stay. The hotel is very-well situated at the beach and we were very lucky with good weather. The only observation was that in the first night at the reception was a lady which caught a cold and she doesn't explain us very well about the evening meal, so we had to pay much more that we expected, which was very unpleasant!

« Recognised valued improvements in restaurant/breakfast »

Well done and designed improvements in restaurant and breakfast offering. Good service. Unfortunately, loud unattended dogs in room above (236) ours (136) during most of our stay. We did not gave the restaurant for diner a new try, because we were disappointed during past years from price/performance ratio and missing innovation. But that might be biased by personal preference though. If the hotel continues with their renovation and improving their services, we will be happy to return!
