« Ok for one night »

Nice hotel with good facilities. I get the impression that a lot of people use it as a stop off point whilst driving through France. The rooms are a good size, and the layout is good. Downside: the bar was very expensive (more than 20 Euros for 2 gin and tonics) and the hotel was very noisy. We were constantly woken by noise from other rooms early in the morning (1am, 2am, etc).

Room was nice and comfortable. Service by young staff, very pleasant. We used to stay in many Novotels and thought we would try it again. Do not like the total formulaic approach these days. For goodness sake put in a proper reception desk. People were not knowing what to do. Go here for a meet, go there for a key; with luggage and children (other peoples not ours) this is a crazy idea.

The new check in/check out system did work. Our room was most comfortable and we enjoy being able to check in from 12.00 Noon. However, we were not allowed to book a table for dinner and when we arrived at 7.20pm, the only space available was on communal canteen style tables with high chairs or in a non air conditioned conservatory which was unbearably hot. Please bear in mind at this time of year, late July, most people staying are either young families or middle aged couples who have remained loyal to Novotel even though their children are now leading their own lives. We felt that these high tables were really only suitable for older teenagers or adults in their twenties of which there are very few amongst your clientele. However, all the restaurant staff were friendly, helpful and did their best to accommodate us. Meals amongst our party were mixed and please bring back a menu with more local produce and a menu that you can follow more easily that is entrées, plats and then desserts. I stress that all your staff in this hotel were very polite, friendly and helpful. You can probably gather that we stay in Novotels regularly and only wish to help you improve your service, in this case the lay out of the restaurant and choice of menu. .

The beds are very comfortable apart from the pillows. The rooms are quiet, often they are too hot but on this occasion the temperature was ideal. The lay out in the lobby is a little confusing and I am not convinced it is an advance not to have a reception desk. Mr Isham is a charming man and a credit to Novotel. I find the breakfasts provide for everyones taste but are expensive.

This was a good location for an overnight travelling from Caen to Cantobre in the southern Cevenne Mountains. We enjoyed a very good sleep - very comfortab le. But evening meal was disappointing and costly, while the morning breakfast was quite chaotic, no doubt in part resulting from the overnight stay of two coach parties (one UK, one Spanish)'

As with our many previous visits the stay was very satisfactory. My only comments are that it will be interesting to see how the new check in/out system will work, particularly in busy times. Secondly the relatively I experienced staff on duty in the restaurant need some guidance on the need to communicate with guests. We were left waiting for beverages, both in the bar and in the restaurant.

The hotel is some 5-7km from Orleans, very quiet and free parking. We were surprised that the hotel had no reception desk as such but staff approached us in the hall with a smartphone. Ok but how does this work during busy times? The room is as you can expect it from Novotel. I would say there is some renovation going on. Please be careful as the fire prevention is not connected to the wall. Breakfast was ok.

Disjointed due to the ongoing updates. With a coach party in at the same time breakfast was a complete nightmare! Virtually nowhere to sit. Only one coffee and hot water machine. Waiting for food to be topped up. Only one person on serving. I paid extra for breakfast and wished I hadn’t! Because I was not asked if I had booked breakfast so could have just walked in and taken breakfast for nothing! Tables were not being cleared etc.
