Room was ok as Novotel standard but menu for room service was not updated so was not able to get right food . Restaurant menu was different than the menu in the room . Service in the restaurant was slow and not very pleasant . Did not really make any effort .

The hotel is conveniently located and the free shuttle bus was excellent. The room was large, clean and well appointed. The restaurant was alright but the staff were inexperienced. I had trouble with my bill as payment using loyalty points had not been credited. It took many emails and phone calls after i returned home to get it rectified and there no apology from Accor.

You arrive all the staff look bored, hand over the key, sit in the room that hasn’t been updated in years, eat dinner and the food isn’t great. Sleep in a very good bed, wake up and eat a bland breakfast

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff very accommodating. I just did not like the menu in the restaurant. Last time I stayed at the Novotel the menu included a fabulous carpaccio. I was told that the old menu is coming back, I hope so.

« No Airport Shuttle »

I booked this hotel as it was advertised ad "Novotel Geneva Airport" and because it operated an Airport Shuttle. My flight was at 07;00 but the shuttle started running at 06:30 so I had to use a taxi instead. Geneva Airport is in Switzerland, however, Novotel Geneva Airport is located in France. When I was informed there was no shuttle runing at my departure time I asked for a Taxi to be organised and what the cost would be, I was told 40 Euro becuase they need to cross the border into Switzerland. Had it been made clear at the time of booking that the shuttle ran only between certain times I would have looked for an alternative.

We stayed at this property a year ago and came back this year for business. It is very convenient to where we do business and since it is across the border from Switzerland and is much less expensive. The rooms are fine. Not too small, but not too large. The breakfast is very good. We also ate dinner there which was very good.

« Disturbing lack of honesty by hotel manager Mr Binali and potential scam »

Very odd circumstances around our initial online booking. Is this a scam? The first payment triggered a screen message to say our payments had failed to go through. So we repeated the booking and paid again 2 minutes later. Oddly, both bookings went through! So we called the hotel to ask for a refund. The manager refused quoting the hotel's no cancellation policy! Then my wife called. The receptionist said he sympathised and believed us, but that Mr Binali would not allow anyone a refund under any circumstance! Was this a scam?? In the end I had to complain to Accor Hotels HQ in Paris and they arranged the refund. But why such unreasonable behaviour at the Geneva hotel? I noticed that all the staff seemed scared of the manager. Odd. And no one tells you but the last free shuttle leaves the airport at 22.30. There after its a taxi which costs 40Euro for a 8 minute journey.

the hotel was fine but let down by the shuttle bus. there is no mention that the shuttle bus is an on demand service on the web page. furthermore on the saturday morning the bus did not appear and as we had a bus to catch at the airport we had to take a taxi costing €35. since the motor show happens every year your staff should have told us when booking the shuttle on friday night that it was likely to be delayed by traffic.

Waited for shuttle 45 min that never came, took taxi to hotel where 23 ppl were informed they have no room!!!! We broke our heads to find a roof to sleep under and you send a review???? Why was no one informed that you had accommodations issues??? You have all our details!!?? Why didn’t we have someone to talk too?? We are 5 days later and still no appology and explanation!!?? Is this the service from a 4 star Novotel chain??? Shame on you!!
