« Good Hotel, perfect for a stop over or to use as base to explore region »

The hotel is Novotel standard, bit outdated furniture/bathroom, but have seen much worse. It is located in an commercial/industrial area, very close to highway (noise is no problem), however there is a big shopping area close by with lots of different restaurants. A car is needed at all times. So the ideal hotel if you need to sleep for one night when travelling through or as a base to explore the region.

Room and reception marvellous. Clean and service was wonderful. We had paid for demi pension but the waitress did not understand how the plan worked. It was very unsatisfactory and the reception staff were left to resolve the situation. The restaurant also seemed to be understaffed. People were waiting 30 minutes to have their orders taken. Also when the food arrived it was cold. The restaurant fails to live up to the hotel.

These were the niggles:- 1. Difficult to take shower without flooding the bathroom floor 2. Chambermaid forgot to re-supply tea and coffee facilities after cleaning room. 3. Not enough english language TV channels. For further details, please see my post on Trip Advisor.

Price was not a great deal as a regular member. It should be better price when we use the hotel accord group direct compare with the use of booking .com or other traders.

« Food poor, room dated, bath plug not working, generally not clean. »

Reception staff were friendly and helpful but food in restaurant was limited and standard was poor. Room decor was dated in comparison to other Novotels and generally not clean. The bath plug would not release the water meaning we had to shower in our sons bath water from previous night. We travel from the UK every year and normally stay at Ibis Budget hotels but decided to spend more money this year for a better experience. Apart from a more comfortable bed there was virtually no difference between Ibis Budget and Novotel apart from Novotel being far more expensive.

The hotel was easy to find, convenient, and friendly both in the reception and restaurant. Good food served in the restaurant until late, which is useful when travelling. Easy place to stay with a dog. Will stay again.

Our stay was satisfactory. There were ants in the bedroom, more specifically in the sofa bed. The person sleeping there was bitten while night long. Upon mentioning this at the reception desk, the receptionist immediately took action. The restaurant wasn't terrific however, not much choice and certainly not great cooking. It was edible.

Welcome was pleasant and good explanations given on the direction to take for reaching the room and access the breakfast room on the next morning in the early hour. However a suggestion about simple maintenance in every aspect of a room.... Have the room attendant to signal to reception whatever defect might be such as a sink plug not functioning well when you press the tap button to have it to come up (I took the plug off to drain the water which is a minor issue).. second situation in the room...One side of the bed has no side bed table (Taken off but not repaired or at the maintenance shop if any). Both are minor issues as I said but do not reflect what NOVOTEL level should be Room 211 on 27-6-2019. Other suggestion, Manager in place should check at random a few rooms a day on top of the room attendant filling out a defect notice to reception.

For the plug off to drain for the water we have gived it to the technic service and they will find the solution. For the bed side table, the only problem is that this room is usually a room with 2 little beds instead of the large one. So when the beds are separated we can not put the table anymore. So we have bought for this room and two other with the same problem a multi-function table that you can use as your convenience, as a bed side table, as a table to take your breakfast in bed or as a low table behind the sofa! We hope these furniture will come to us as sson as possible to provide a better servie in these rooms. Staff were very polite and professional. Room was very good. Only downside the menu was only in French,which I understand,but the amount of British guests,it would have been nice to have the option to have some of it in English.(maybe a thought for the management).

We have always enjoy staying at Perpignan but this time was a little disappointing. The new look restaurant and menu looked good but bearing in mind the limited choices two of the six main course dishes weren’t available which I personally think is very poor. The bar staff seemed younger and less friendly and overall not up to the usual standard

« Off season one night stay, but still a perfect experience »

I received an unexpected upgrade which was wonderful. The room and staff were very helpful and friendly. The choices at the restaurant were limited, but to be expected in the depth of the off season. It was a stopover during my drive from Switzerland to Spain, but if I had the choice I would stay here for a short holiday break.
