Hotel carpets were very verty dirty. Sheets were so worn they were ‘bobbly’ - woke in the night thinking there was sand in the bed (there wasn’t). Room not ready, we had to put up the sofa bed which was so tricky that even a member of staff when called struggled. Worst of all was the buffet - after a long drive to find the only option for food was a €25/head buffet was disappointing - supremely over priced. I eat almost anything (!) but pretty much everything was awful and had been left out too long. Felt like a lazy way to make money. Not in a million years a 4*. Come on Novotel, you can do much much better than this.

« Airconditioning was not working in the room; breakfast was excellent »

For room rate of 134 euro's, I am expecting a room with working airconditioning. I need to sleeop with open window to cool down the room :( . For the rest all was ok. Especially, the breakfast was excellent.

The room was good except that the air conditioning was not working and we felt extremely hot over night, we did get a small discount for that. The breakfast was also good. We also did not have enough tea and milk in the room. Thanks.

« Family stopover on the way to south of France. »

Disappointing compared to previous stays with Novotel. Swimming pool was closed due to problems. I accept that problems do occur from time to time but we always look forward to a refreshing dip after along journey. Also it was disappointing to have a buffet dinner as opposed to selecting off a menu. It was particularly expensive for our 12 year old.

Second time we have used this hotel as a midway stop over on our way to the south coast. It offers everything we need - comfortable room, good restaurant, secure parking and close to the motorway - although far enough away to be quiet.

The reception and check in was good. I was not very hungry so I asked in the restaurant if I could order a salad? No, only the buffet. I have been travelling for around 19 hours and expect that the Accor Hotels meets my requirements. I do not pay 25,00 EURO for a small salad from the buffet. I got my beer and some peanuts and went to bed, a bit hungry. In the morning I was taking my shower, but it was almost impossible, since the water was so warm and could not bee turned into cold position. Terrible. I checked out around 06.15 in the morning, no person to see at the reception. After 5 minutes waiting I went to the restaurant and saw a lady sitting in the bar and she asked me if I needed the reception and then she moved to the reception and made my check out. I left the hotel without buying anything. The beer was free due to my Platinum membership. The next day I stayed in IBIS Granada - Spain, arriving after 16 hours drive, perfect and very kind service, all 3 guys speaking English. The cook made a shrimp salad for me. In the morning, very good breakfast with European and Spanish products, fresh fruit, Top quality. The total amount of my bill 68.50 EURO , total amount of my bill in your Novotel around 110,00 EURO. If I had known how bad the stay in you hotel would be, I would not have paid 50,00 EURO. I have decided to report this experience directly to accor.

Reception and room OK for an overnight stay. There are no restaurants in walking distance so used the only option in the hotel which was a buffet at €22 per person. Very little option, they could not bring out food quick enough for the people queuing. The chicken portions served were raw, I raised this with the staff but no feedback, they all looked to be students so had little interest. Choice of 2 beers, 1 not available. Not standard Accor food serve level at all. Breakfast was standard.

We have stopped at this hotel several times on our way to South of France. We did not like that the evening meal had been changed to a buffet style menu. Small children did not seem to enjoy the meal either.
