Hotel and surrounds were lovely. No issues with facilities. Reception was very enthusiastic and helpful but also incredibly busy No welcome drink or acknowledgement of membership with Accor. Thought we might have a massage or treatment at spa - either attached to an accomodation package or extremely overpriced for very short period of treatment. Difficult to locate using car GPS. Street frontage as address on navi is not signposted. Drove around very small streets in busy town searching

Very difficult to find using navi in small streets of busy city. Access to spa treatments limited without a package - could he far better advertised or have better offers. No acknowledgement of gold membership - complimentary drink not offered nor anything else to promote accor. Gentleman on reception at arrival was great.

Stayed for 5 nights in this hotel which is really excellently situated. However inside it is a total disaster. Old walls, old furniture, non working air condition. It was a real hell.

« Good but could be better »

The rooms are quite old fashioned with floor to ceiling artex. The carpet was stained in quite a lot of places. The window dressing needs attention and the aircon could be improved. Breakfast was hit and miss, they had a very small hot plate for everyone with scrambled eggs in one and bacon and sausages in another the hotel was pretty full due to the Ironman weekend and that was not sufficient for the whole hotel. When staff were notified that things had run out it was up to 10 minutes before they were replenished and if you didn’t see them do it you had to wait again.

It was ok. We were looked after enough. Although, couldn't eat by the pool but could outside in front of carpark!? The room cleaning lady came in twice while i was sleeping when i clearly had the Do Not Disturb sign on. Then i had 2 phone calls with no one on the end- clearly to see if i was in my room!

At time of booking we requested a room in a quiet location. We were situated at the back of the hotel overlooking the pool. Unfortuantely this side of the building was used for deliveries woken up by a lorry 4.45am and this continued until before we left. No toiletries available in room: body lotion, conditioner, shampoo no face cloths. Hotel was old and needed lots of money spending refurbishing, Air con didnt work effectively. Wouldn't recommend expected more from a Mecure.

« A rather disappointing stay on this occasion »

We stay at this hotel 6 times a year as we have,in the past found it to be,usually a very good hotel to stay at. On this occasion the room was very warm and the air conditioning was not efficient enough to cool it resulting in our having a very uncomfortable nights sleep or should I say little sleep. I accept that the weather was very hot but in this day and age the A/C should be able to cope. Secondly we were very surprised and alarmed at the breakfast situation as I made claer to the Manager Monsieur Philippe Rueda. Tables had not been cleared which was unattractive to Guests,the orange juice had not been replenished and there were no Croissants nor Pancakes available!! Not what one expects in hotels of this standard and cost!! We unfortunately left two dog bowls in the room.I have spoken to Reception asking them to hold them for our colletion in September.

It was OK, just. I never feel when I stay there that the staff make much of an effort and nor being fluent French phases them, usually other than this time when I checked in at reception and the ldy was lovely.

I have book in Feb for a stay in June but never received the confirmation. Two weeks before the event, I checked the booking in my emails, found nothing and convinced that the reservation was not done, I have tried to book again but the hotel was full. So I booked in another hotel and in the end had to pay twice for the first night. It is my first very unpleasant experience with Accor hotels where I stay on regular basis.

We moved to the Mercury after a bad first night in another hotel. The receptionist was very helpful and found us a very nice room straightaway. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The breakfast were very good with egg and bacon. Also a good selection for buffet.

We again stayed at this well located hotel,close to the City Centre.It offers good car parking.Friendly efficient staff.Our room was comfortable but lighting levels were poor,as ever. We had an excellent dinner yet again.

the desk personnel is efficient and professional. the parking access is a bit difficult for people coming to pick you up due to the barrier system. The hotel also show it age and need to be renovated and modernise to classify a 4 star rating.
