Nice clean modern hotel. As expected for novotel. Food in restaurant very average. Excellent service- Lynn from restaurant was amazing: made fantastic coffee and went over and above expectations to make sure we were happy.

Disappointing that on a not very busy night at the Hotel, despite asking for a quite room I'm put on the side of the Hotel that you get all of the busy road noise. Close the window and the Air Con is louder than the road!

We have stayed at this hotel several times when we visit family in the area. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is exceptionally clean and comfortable. However we have recently noticed on our last couple of stays that some of the nice little touches have disappeared like bottled water in the fridge, nice biscuits to go with the morning cuppa. In the dining room you now have a machine for tea and coffee which this weekend could barely cope with the sheer number of people using it, the water did not get chance to heat up fully resulting in warm rather than hot drinks.

Convenient stopping off point on journey from North Northumberland to south London. Excellent "accessible" bathroom . Generally friendly staff. Ate towards the end of the meals slots. Probably better to eat rather earlier

« Reasonable stay with great bed and average meal »

Interesting location. Room seemed to be half renovated with nice big telly and great bed but chair and sofa stained. Fab rainfall shower. So a mic of good and bad. Precooked a 3 course meal and was disappointed with the Special main course. Gammon and egg with chips . Seamed like it had been ready for a while as chips were coltish and eggs hard! Probably left under heat lights. Very dissatisfied. Starter (cold) and chessboard nice. Again a mix!
