Nice hotel, decent sized rooms, kettle etc Bathroom nice with bath and shower option. Free fruit in hallway was nice. The only downfall was the price of Breakfast at £18.95 each. Crazy..... we were hungry in the morning and could not buy anything other than an expensive breakfast.

« Poor Quality Hotel »

Poor response from reception during the day for any calls made for enquiries in the afternoon, had to walk down from my room each time. We had only booked one night and we noticed a smell of Sewage waste coming from the main wash basin of bathroom Hand Wash Basin. We reported this and felt uncomfortable to drink the water from the tap though it was advised and the person at the bar commented, if there was possible contamination, he wouldn't have been working all day drinking same water, which i find rather making fun of someones problem as he wasn't drinking water from my wash basin of the room. The Air-conditioning in the room wasn't working via the control panel, when i came down to report, the receptionist at night shift, who i find was the only helpful person and nice guy too, advised he could re-set it from the main switch and then it finally worked after struggling to find a solution on my own using room control panel as i felt rather embarrassed to report this problem straightaway. The panel at the door to access the room had lid broken off and there was an unknown person's NEXT tie thrown or dropped in front of my door as well. Overall i find that lots needs to be done and feel that the hotel is outdated and old as the toilet was separate to the bathroom with no facility to wash hands in the toilet which most modern hotels have nowadays. I don't think i would stay in this hotel again, very disappointed.

We have been using this hotel for over 15 years as a good base to visit family & friends in Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire. Some of the staff are long serving and its good to greet them as old friends. A very good buffet breakfast, comfortable rooms and excellent location close to J25 of the M1.

unfortunately staying here for the third time now I will be now staying at the Radisson, this is the same rate with far better rooms and food choice. The menu is very limited and basic.

Booked a queen's room with a pull out sofa, ended up getting a disabled room which is fine but wasn't as booked. Room was comfortable and basic. Breakfast wasn't worth it for the price. Very disappointed. Expected better. Customer service was good though.

Breakfast on the Friday wasn't very good, firstly only 2 cereal bowls left of which one was dirty, secondly no cups available for tea, thirdly when we came back to the table after eventually getting cups we found waiter giving our table to somebody else, when we complained we were moved to another table. The waiter was the only person in the restaurant and was running around like a headless chicken. More staff in the restaurant would have been a benefit to him. Jordan the night porter was very helpful when my wife became ill on the Friday night. He organised an ambulance to take her to hospital and brought the ambulance crew to the room and on my arrival back at the hotel asked how my wife was. We ended up leaving a day early due to my wife's hospital visit.

Hotel and room was fine, I had a pizza on the first night and can honestly say it was the worst pizza I have ever had. The second night I dinned elsewhere. I have have experienced poor food before at your hotel.

« One night stay »

This was a one night stay whilst between venues. I checked in earlier than normally I do and I was delighted when Laura upgraded me. The room was very pleasant and well appointed. I chose to do some work and this ran into the evening when I went to have a meal. Ben the waiter was very impressive and entertaining in conversation after I had finished the food. Breakfast was very supplied and the staff who’s names I did not note kindly organised dairy free milk and fried eggs. I was sorry to check out and will try to stay again.
