« Cigarette smoke & wake up calls big turn offs »

Once we entered our non-smoking room that reeked of smoke we should have insisted on another (#155). But we didn’t, as we were there for only one night before flying out the next morning, so we stuck with it. Then, at 6:31am we received an unasked-for wake up call. Again at 7:06am. UGH~!!!

Most significant (for us) is that I was travelling home the next day and have a broken ankle. As soon as we arrived at the hotel door your doorman rushed off to find a wheelchair. Every member of staff was kindness itself throughout our brief stay.

In the last stays, the service has worsened. Lot of staff changes and new people not professional. I should not remind and send emails (with no response) about my Accor status. I should not wait a shuttle service in the night when the hotel is 5 minutes drive (this was the 3rd time that happened). I should not accept that I have breakfast and the waiter is not caring if I have everything I need like napkin, cutlery....

Pros: Location and shuttle service. Would also have been nice to use the pool but did not get the opportunity. Cons: Very dated rooms and bathrooms. Cold in the rooms. TV didn't work upon arrival. Hall carpet also worn. Standard didn't quite live up to expectations of the Pullman name. Also, restaurant mixed up our order due to language barrier however given this is an international brand, expected more from the staff.

We stayed overnight here. The room was fine. However, we both were sick after eating at the restaurant. As far as we can tell, it was the salmon carpaccio. It tasted slightly "off" and we should have not finished it. Three days later, we are finally feeling well again.

« This is the second visit in a row where my initial room was unsatisfactory »

During this visit, I discovered my room had not been cleaned prior to my arrival. The front desk handled it well and put me in an upgraded room. However a similar thing happened on my previous stay in which the initial room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke; again I was easily moved to a room without the problem but it is frustrating to have to return to the front desk and ask for another room each time.
