The rooms and decor was cheerful. The staff, in particular, was extremely responsive and courteous. We stayed in a Junior Suite and needed the sofa to be converted to a bed, and reverted back, sometimes at odd times — this was done smoothly. Overall a satisfactory experience

They were kind but told us our room would be ready in 15 minutes. We waited over an hour told the safe had to be fixed. We felt the room wasn’t ready. The concierge was helpful. Breakfast was over priced.

I am very surprised by this hotel, in fact I would say its one of the worst Accor hotels I have even stayed at. As I stayed next door in the Mercure the nights before, as they are full last night, I had to change hotel. But honestly, I find the Mercure, and even some Ibis to be better than this Sofitel. The Sofitel reception made me wait and ignore me until they are ready to serve me. nice welcome, even as people just interrupt them, they see i have my bags and I just come from work, so I am tired and want to check it. As I already checked in online, I assumed this would be quick, but no, they made me complete again the check in, and all my information, and sign the forms. I am not sure anything is prepared or they knew I am a platinum card member, but they dont care anyway, because they did not give me my free drink coupon, which is very strange, I would not expect this hotel should know this information about the customer? but you know they dont care who we are. So of course, my room was not upgraded, and I have the most small basic room of the hotel. Its right next to the toilets and meeting rooms on the mezzanine, so there is noise all night, it couldnt be worse. The room has a bed which is too small for me, and its soft like a marshmallow for a grandmother, is this serious, like you give a man who is working all day a room like this. Everything has lights, on the switches, on the walls, and in all locations so there is light everywhere all night, and i can not switch it off. There is no television remote control, so I can not even watch the television now i have insomnia from all the light and soft bed. In the morning, most of the product in the shower is gone, so i have to squeeze what i can out of it, because I cant remove the bottle, because its locked to the wall- seriously who steals this? I go for breakfast, there is no coffee machine (only one on display that does not work), but a waitress comes to ask if she can serve coffee, before I can even sit down they ask, so i think great, its efficient. No, the breakfast was totally pathetic, and it is far too expense for what it is. I dont care there is 10 types of cakes in the morning, anyway there is nothing hot left to eat even at 7:30am. I am still waiting for my coffee, I have to ask 3 times for coffee, finally I stop the only waitress actually doing anything and insist i want my coffee now, because i need to leave, and someone finally she brings me one. My whole experience from start to finish was that of amazement, this hotel is totally a joke, and frankly you should just fire all the staff there, and start again, because they have no qualifications in hotel management or customer service.
