We have stayed before as a family so we always use this hotel when our itinerary is in/around west london/heathrow. The young lady ( from Naples ) who checked us in was exceptionally customer focused , welcoming and efficient.....We enjoyed our stay , again. One comment from my wife was that she noticed that our room ( 5076)was not as clean as clean as the other rooms on previous stays and nor were the corridors.

We enjoyed our stay, I thought the reception area, bar and restaurant were of good standard. I think the hotel need a bit of a facelift, the carpet in the corridors and in the room were dirty. The room was nice and comfortable but the bathroom was a bit shabby.

« Inviting facade but inside needs work »

From the outside the hotel looks good, however after checking in and moving towards your room the hallway walls and carpets are in need of a much needed facelift. The same could be said for the rooms which would have presented well when the hotel was built which as a guess would have been in the early 1990,s but now are in need of a refurb. Twice during our stay we requested an extra blanket as it was cold and were assured this would happen. Unfortunately both requests fell on deaf ears which gave us a poor view of reception staff.

« Super pleasant. »

I stayed in the superior room and it was so spacious, including the toilets. The rooms were very clean and we were able to witness the fireworks from the view on the 4th floor. Furthermore, the hotel is a 3 minute walk to a bus stop and 7 minutes walk to a tube. So going places was easy.

« Perfect location »

My stay at novotel London west, we stayed as a family of 3 for my little boys 4th birthday our first family trip to London. The room did the job the location is perfect for public transport and a couple of nice restaurants around. I would say the room was a little on the small side with only one chair and a sofa bed so while little one slept only one of us could sit down but we was out all day so it was only for a short time that we struggled. The room was pretty standard and a little shabby around the edges I caught my leg on the side of the sofa bed where it needed to be fixed. There was a couple of loose fittings in the bathroom. Breakfast was good a lot of choice staff where brilliant. The bar was well stocked cocktails overpriced food was average. The maids did a fantastic job the room was cleaned daily. overall I would recommend.

« Ok For One Night But Never Again Not Worth It »

Stay was ok, room a little tired. The sofa bed wasn’t made up as expected so daughter slept beside me. Dining staff excellent, young man at check in rolled his eyes when I asked a second time the hours for breakfast which was unnecessarily rude, had a very arrogant air about him. The young man who helped when checking out on the other hand was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent, evening meal was ok. My room really didn’t have a four star feel, the air conditioning didn’t work and it was far too hot in the room so had a poor sleep due to the heat and rock hard mattress, carpet had stains and the plug sockets have seen better days. I cleaned the tv remote and the wipe I used was black, maybe add remotes to routing cleaning. There was just something about the room that didn’t feel fresh and clean. There was a used tissue under the bed and there wasn’t that fresh laundry smell to the bed linen. I wouldn’t use this hotel again I didn’t find it a comfortable stay at all, infact the heat made me and my daughter sick with headaches.

« Two weeks in Hammersmith at a hotel that under delivered and failed dismally to provide 4 star Novotel service »

We were attracted by favourable online blogs about the hotel for families. However our 14 nights were seriously affected by:Heating issues in the first room during English winter, we were given, over 30 degrees and their answer was to give us a pedestal fan. Major fail.Next room was better, but outdated carpet and in desperate need of a renovation.Issues with door locks that stopped working as only programmed to 31 December, waited for over an hour to access our room.Buffet breakfast reminded me of the army, powdered eggs, rock solid fried eggs, slow water jog taps, extremely hot plates (burnt my finger on both hands one morning and attended by hotel first aid)Many staff could not speak English, so an issue for an English speaker like meNo Concierge desk at this property, just a porter, so no service or travel advice or assistance.Property catering for mostly European tour groups, not long stay families.After I complained several times I was provided some service, but when other staff or managers on duty It relapsed to poor service and a general lack of care or interest from staff.We had issues with room service, 2 menu items were inedible, the Thai green curry and American club sandwich. The hand burgers and pizzas were delicious on subsequent room service meals.Paid for late checkout and had issues getting the keys cut for the checkout afternoon. The reception staff refused on 3 occasions to recut the keys when I was desperate to go to my room and go to the toilet. I got upset with them and they called security to try and strong arm me. I apologised to the staff later but there was no need for them to deny my request to have my door cards extended as I had paid for a late checkout and produced my photo identification, which they could not find my late checkout confirmation in the system, so after I eventually got back to my room and could gain entry, I took down my booking confirmation with late checkout clearly printed on it, and I had prepaid all of it. There several other annoying issues during the stay, like staff entering our room when we were sleeping, no toilet paper, no water supplied on a few days, no laundry service, etc

Novotel is a family friendly hotel and Christmas was certainly a very busy time for us in terms of family rooms occupancy due to the value for money. All our family rooms were in use on your arrival this is why you have been upgraded and moved to a new room only one day after your check in. Challenges can happen however they all have been generously compensated by the Room Division Manager, the Restaurant Manager and myself in order to show you that we care about you as well as any other guest. Reception staff were very good at check in, overall hotel facilities very good, however the room was tired/dated in need of general refurbishment. The rooms do not match the rest of the hotel in aesthetics/overall quality which is disappointing.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The room was fine, if not in completely perfect condition (there were some signs of wear). Breakfast was good. Double bed quite comfortable, though could feel the springs. The sofa bed was comfortable. Shower a bit fiddly to get the temperature right, but good apart from that. Lounge bar food and service good, though 10% service automatically added to food order, with no mention of this on the menu. Sofa bed wasn't made up for us in advance, despite booking for 2 adults and 1 child and specifically requesting this during on-line check in. This was quickly rectified. Check in and check out were quick and easy. Location good. Overall good value for money for the location.

« A comfortable and convenient base for a conference »

I hadn't been to the Novotel for some years. I was very pleasantly surprised with the comfort and décor of my room which on my last visit had been a bit basic. Had a much more luxurious look and feel without being over the top. The meeting space (I was there as part of a conference) was functional and well laid out. The evening dinner was a highlight - the food served was excellent quality and beautifully presented. Nice touches with chocolates on the tables and table gifts. The breakfast buffet was good - a nice range of options.

« A friendly, convenient and lively hotel. »

Staff at the front desk were very helpful and always acting proactively. The Hammersmith tube station was only several minutes walking distance away, and it took us less than 30 minutes to reach central London. The rooms were clean and tidy, and all restaurants, bar and lounge located at the 1st floor gave a wide variety of food and drinks as well as lively music.
