« Very satisfied with the. overall experience! »

Ms. Martina gave us an amazing welcome at check-in. She was very helpful and polite. The rooms were clean and spacious with a view of the Eiffel and river Seine. The breakfast was quite good, it could have more variety to make it even better. The hotel is well situated close to a metro and a mall. I would definitely recommend the hotel to my family and friends. A special thanks to Martina once again!

« Typical Novotel Experience »

We had a tough time with most of the employees they seemed very disgruntled anything that you would ask the reply was expected as rude. However I would like to mention one Name Receptionist Ms Martina she was really helpful, genuine and customer oriented. Novotel should reward Ms Martina for her excellence.

« Stressful »

The hotel could do better in their process for taxi bookings. The reception does not help to inform the place/address of the venue the guest wants to go to resulting in confusion when the taxi driver actually arrives to pick you up. On 2 occasions my assigned taxi was given to someone else with a different room number. The reception didnt help solve the problem because the same person gave me the license plate number of the driver and then gave the same number to the guest in room 412 below me and made me wait for another taxi. I booked the taxi first. Also, booking a taxi in advance doesn’t make a difference because the reception doesn’t tell you if it is ready or not. Even when I gave them at least 30 minutes notice. I had to look for the taxi myself outside and then I learnt he was in the hotel waiting to talk to reception about who booked the taxi. I was there for business meetings and as being on time is very important, this inefficient way of ordering taxis caused delays. The only time the booking went well and like clockwork is when the Indian gentleman (short Indian man, wearing spectacles- unfortunately I didn’t get his name) was manning the reception.

« Staff was extremely rude, halls smelled, couldn't get assistance with transport, overall would not stay again. »

I understand a language barrier since I don't speak french but regardless I have never experienced more disdain and rudeness at any hotel I have stayed like this one. The desk staff was not helpful, rude, rolling eyes and huge sighs when asked for assistance. It was unreal. If you don't want to be in service change jobs.

« Way overpriced for a shabby hotel »

The guest room was outdated, door jam was damaged, cleaning staff had such bad body odor, it could be smelled from 20 meters away. It wouldn't expect to pay more than 100 EUR for a room of this quality, even in Paris. The Ibis next door at half the price would have been better value.

Overall , Novotel La Defense is a very good hotel for both Business and Vacations Very near to Metro, room is big and 10 mins walking to 4 temp mall Hotel is very busy during the morning time, so if you plan to leave at 9 am, yu whould start your breakfast at 8

« OK stay »

Check in was a bit longer than usual as €200 were debited from my card rather than just reserved as a deposit. It also meant I could not do the fast check out as I wanted to make sure that the difference was refunded to my card. Breakfast ordered in my room was about 10-15 minutes late, which meant that I had to eat really quickly. I usually stay at the Novotel in La Defense rather than at the more modern Melia, because of the service, but I am not sure it was worth it this time.
