We were coming to Miami for the soul purpise this time of flying to Jamaica so being located near the airport was essential. The Pullman is not only a superb hotel it’s location on Blue Lagoon Drive is stunning. Our room overlooked the lagoon and although I had fun watching planes take off the sound was minimal.

Good standard, pleasant and helpful staff. One improvement please - upgrade printer to accommodate A4 paper enabling British to print out their Airline boarding passes.

One room was ready early when we arrived, very much appreciated! Room was large & clean. Very good value. Lunch & service in restaurant was fantastic! Hallway was very cold. After checkout, we realized that a jacket with camera in the pocket was left in the room. Called that day, had not been ‘logged in’ system yet. Called 5 days later after cruise, still took person on phone awhile to check, and was not able to locate jacket & camera. Very disappointed.

Hotel was great. Amazing breakfast but it was very stressful to be there on a work trip without being able to get reliable internet. I have to work in the evening and getting internet was pretty much impossible. The lobby worked marginally better.

I booked the Pullman because it was convenient for my week of meetings at the nearby IATA offices. My stay resulted in the first time I have ever felt the need to register my dissatisfaction with a hotel manager. My disappointment was down to a series of minor annoyances. First impressions were not good as I did not appreciate the hard sell to upgrade my room at check-in. On day one I had a problem with my safe which was not fixed as requested whilst I was out all day attending meetings - I had to delay my evening appointment whilst I waited for maintenance to fix it. On day three my room was not made up and when I phoned the front desk they suggested that, ‘you must have left your do not disturb sign on the door’ which was not the case. I also had another problem with the safe which delayed another evening appointment. At this point the maintenance engineer revealed that I was in a room especially adapted for disabled guests - when I then compared my room with another colleague I did not feel that it was of equal standard when I surely didn’t need to be in the room I was given - I hope this had nothing to do with my refusal to upgrade at check-in. The final annoyance was the speed of the wi-if which was patchy at best. I would like to think that I just got unlucky as my colleagues were happy with their stay. However, I was really not happy with some (not all) of the front desk staff that I encountered. I do at least think the manager dealt with my complaint well and I must say that the shuttle service to and from the airport and IATA offices was very good.

« The room seemed dirty and drab »

Your door staff and front desk staff were very nice and helpful. We were very excited to stay at the Pullman based on the descriptions of being a hip and mid-mod hotel. However, we will most likely not stay at a Pullman again based on our experience. We arrived a bit early so we checked in, but our room wasn't quite ready. So my wife, daughter and I used the pool. The front desk said they would give us a ring when the room was ready. About 3 pm, I went back to the front desk and they said that yes, a room was ready, but they wanted to run my card again because somone had deleted it. I asked to not run the card again and they said that was fine. When I arrived to the room, I unlocked the door and walked into a room that wasn't complete. The vaccuum was sitting right by the front door and there was a pile of folded sheets laying directly on the floor. I came back out into the hallway to talk to the maid. There was a bit of a language barrier, but she she reported that the room was clean and that the bed was clean - and she even took me into the bedroom and pointed to the bed to assure me it was clean. When my wife arrived to the room, however, she picked up several batches of hair on the floor around the room, and the room just felt unclean. When finally putting our two year old to bed in the bedroom, we noticed that the bed did not appear to have been made properly. There was simply one flat sheet laid over the mattress and tucked in to resemble a fitted sheet. There was no top sheet and just the comforter. Because it was so late and we didn't want to disturb our sleeping two your old, we slept in the bed like that. A flat sheet on top of the mattress, and a comforter directly next to our bodies on top. Bathroom was clean. Your front desk staff did take $50 off of our bill for my description of the bed linens, but I didn't even mention the hair on the floor as we were exiting for our shuttle to the airport at 4:30 am. This experience was not great. For such a high priced hotel, we expected more.

Stay was just OK. I would not stay at this hotel again. I has made a reservation for 1 night for a business meeting. I booked a room with Breakfast included anticipating that I will eat breakfast , however on the previous eve once I checked it my host called to say that they will take me to their office for a Breakfast meeting, so I requested that I will not be using the bkreakfast at the hotel next morning, so cancel the breakfast part, which the staff said they could not do. This was not a last minute cancellation, but a request previous evening which should have been honored.

« Unexpectedly difficult »

Despite the fact that my husband and I regularly stay in the Miami property (sometimes together and sometimes just him when he travels on business) he was refused check-in when he arrived on Saturday evening. The A-Club card is in my name (no provision being made for married couples) and as I booked the room it was also in my name (again no provision to change names only to add children on the "preferences" of our account). The receptionist refused to let him register as he wasn't Elizabeth K. despite having the confirmation email and was only checked in after he called me in Nassau and then I called the hotel back to confirm he was who he said he was. Ridiculous! Since when has this become "company policy"? or was this just someone being difficult? We have stayed in Miami when it was Sofitel and now Pullman and this was the first time we experience this behaviour. I will be interested to hear your response.

was satisfied with my room until the last night had a leak in my bathroom that woke me out my sleep water was running heavily from the floor above me into my bathtub, which I reported and decided to stay in the room even though I was offered another room at 1.21 am. But no one seems to care to ask me the morning how I cope with it all. what was even more appalling is that I got 5 packages delivered to the hotel from Amazon these were small packages and was charged $120 USD dollars. The items in the packages didn't even cost 120 USD I know the hotel policy but these were all small packages why do you want to charge customers 100 USD for receiving one package and I was already staying at the hotel is not even like the hotel was storing it for me for days. This is ridiculous and needs revising for this I would not recommend the hotel can't always be about money. Staff was good and did an excellent job.

Biggest disappointment was the bathroom. Looked like a public toilet. White sink attached to wall, no vanity and a mirror with a metal frame slanted downwards. I am 5’8 and had to bend down to look in the mirror, no where to put toiletries
