The staff was very friendly, and allowed me to check in early when I arrived. I stayed in room 804 - the room number was falling off the wall in the hallway and only showed the 8 and the 0. Also, one of the reading lights by the bed was hanging by its wires, was covered in duct tape and didn't work. Breakfast was nice.

Great hotel, friendly staff. Direct access to the subway at North York station via the small shopping centre. Shops and restaurants close by. Easy access from the airport via express bus 34 which stops outside. About 30 minutes by subway from downtown, depending on where you are heading. When I left my phone charger the housekeeping team kept it aside for my return visit. Good breakfast with custom made omlettes!

I stayed for 10 days during a recent business trip and enjoyed my stay. The people I encountered - from the front desk, to the restaurant & bar staff (Ghanet is the absolute best), to roomservice, to the maids - were all super friendly and helpful. Really, in every instance the interaction was lovely. The location was perfect, with very easy access to the subway and a lot of dining options within walking distance. The room decor wasn't my taste but the bed, bedding & pillows were comfy so I don't really care about a weird wall treatment. Breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of foods so that I didn't get tired of it. (the sausages in tomato sauce - absolutely DELISH). And Adam was so attentive, without being overly so, that I tried to make sure I sat with him daily. But even when I didn't the service was good. I didn't test the evening menu as much because Toronto offers way too many food options so I ventured out. I did get room service one night and it was good. I would have to give the Novotel two thumbs up and will stay here again should I find myself back in this area of Toronto.

My room was clean and quiet, the bed very comfortable. It was nice to have a small fridge and a bathrobe. Furnishings were in very good condition. The bathroom was clean, modern, and had a great shower. Lots of amenities near the hotel.

« Great stay - disconnect between staff »

The room was great and was a perfect space for our needs. there was a miscommunication --- and the initial check in was a struggle as my card was overcharged because the receipt said we were checking out on the Monday and that was not the case. The person tried to be accommodating and told me to come back at check out to resolve however I wanted to ensure that I fully understood why the amount was so much more. After a lot of back and forth we realized it was due to the additional night and this was adjusted. The person was very nice and accommodating -- the improvement of service would be to be a bit more patient and try to resolve the issue in the moment instead of suggesting I come back 2 days later. There also seems to be a huge disconnect when it comes to communication flow between management and front of house staff. This was evident when my guests tried to book on a few different occasions, as well as with my own experience while staying at the hotel. Information does not seem to be accurately shared.

Got to know about privileges at my account status on this stay, was offered drink voucher for 1st time, eligibility was there for past few weeks. Hotel can be more agile in engaging guests. Overall it is a good experience everytime here.

Was supposed to be in the same room as my mother, but I was put in M. Burtons room and not Rita b.'s room. The correction was quickly made and I found my 88 year old mother in the correct room. Services could have been communicated a little better, re parking etc. Also the bed did not have the correct fitting sheets, which was a little uncomfortable.

I had a good stay at your hotel and enjoyed the amenities. My room on the 4th floor was surprisingly quiet. It would be helpful to let guests know how the parking card works (redemption of the ticket by front desk vs. using a hotel key card) and that there is a Rexall downstairs in the mall. For the breakfast buffet, more healthy vegetarian or vegan options would be helpful. The mini croissants were delicious.

Love it. Close to many food spots, close to my work where I was getting training for the week. Taxi's always parked at the hotel ready to take you where you needed to go. Exercise room was great!

« so disappointing »

this is in no way a four star hotel I especially like a nice bathroom the fan had actual visible dirt, dust and mold the surface of the tub was not flat i didn't even request a room with a tub - i requested walk in shower only do not disturb was on the door but housekeeping came in anyway don't serve "hot items" on your breakfast buffet if they're not hot the only thing that made breakfast nice was our server - adam enormous amount of cigarette butts near the lobby entrance for over an entire day i usually don't complain however i really don't have anything nice to say about this hotel

Room was appropriate for one person — did not easily accommodate two for four nights. View was spectacular. Staff was indifferent, but adequate. Food service disappointing. Bathroom fixtures dreadful — shower daily flooded the floor. Room was cleaned each day, but inconsistent refill of amenities.

I’ve stayed at your hotel many times. Upon arrival I asked if I had a king size bed I was told no to double beds but I was upgraded. The room was exactly the same as every other room I’ve stayed in. To list the issues. The remote did not work. The refrigerator did not work. The coffee maker did not work. And the ironing board did not work
