« An anti-mosquito net on the window would have made everything perfect »

Overall, it was good. It lacked an anti-mosquito net on the window (or something similar). It would have also been good to have a microwave oven, but it was not critical. Everything else was perfect.

« get what you pay for »

it's an older IBIS hotel. The room was clean, generally in need of a little minor maintenance, but sparten. A reasonable nights sleep, but it's not the ritz. Worst point was the romm was a little smally - a combination of historical smoking and damp - just needed a good airing.

I was not p’eased with my stay in the hotel. Dirty carpet floor, air co not wirking and had 15 degrees C in the room and had to ask to fix the problem. Toilet ceiling was covered mith mold.... the waiters at the diner where unprofessional and made us wait 45 minutes before even to come to say hello. Really bad experience in this hotel and will not come back.

I was given a bigger room than I booked, but the 2nd bedroom had a huge stain in the middle of the carpet. The bathroom had a great deal of mould on the ceiling, and there was very little space. I have to say I was hugely disapointed, having stayed in both blue and red Ibis hotels in the past. I could have saved my money and stayed in the B&B hotel next door. Breakfast was very poor, low quality products and not cereals except chocolate ones. Very few pastries left at 8am.

Initially I was happy to have a bigger room, but the second room had a huge stain on the carpet in the middle of the floor. There was a double bed and 2 singles, but no desk (as normal), and only 3 electric points, one of which was in the bathroom. Therefore it was difficult to do emails, charge phone etc all at the same time. The bath was welcome, but while in the bath I saw a massive amount of mould on the bathroom ceiling. This is not what I expect from Ibis Rouge - I could have stayed next door at B&B for half the price. Breakfast was bad - the only cereals on offer were chocolate flavour, and the yohghurt was poor quality. Not worth nearly 10€

All the team (counter, restaurant, cleaning service) is very friendly and always ready to go the extra mile to help you. Rooms are great, with real baths instead of the usual "standing" showers. Location is very convenient if you work on the campus or need to take the train at Gieres station.

In the middle of an industrial estate and the restaurant was closed. However the man on reception was very helpful directing me to somewhere nearby and also gave me advice on how to get into town.

When booking the hotel we understood that we had reserved an evening meal but found on arrival that the restaurant was closed. The only other criticism we have is that the rooms are uncomfortably small for a three star hotel.

I enjoyed my 3 nights stay with you very much. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, the room very clean, the internet was fast and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was a great and varied experience. So on the basics of my stay were very satisfactory. However I was very disappointed with the dinner that I had one night in the restaurant (Monday 6th nov) I waited 45 min in an almost empty restaurant for my a la carte fish (cabillaud). On top of that the vegetables were DEFINITELY not as described. It said grille dvegetables with chestnust. My vegetables had no chestnuts at all (were mainly green beans and green peas) and had certainly been grilled (at some point) but had been microwave heated and were ice cold in the middle. The waiter did offer me a free tea to compensate but considering the price of my dinner, It was almost an insult. He also offered to go an heat it again in the microwave but this should hardly be necessary. I don't pay more than 20 euros for microwave dinner.
