If you’re looking for a functional business hotel then this may suit you! However as a hotel it’s pretty soulless and unwelcoming. Self service Breakfast couldn’t be faulted but the evening meal was laughable. 3 waitresses with only a dozen at most clients should have been an easy task but the food and drinks took ages, it wasn’t how we asked and was so bland it was embarrassing. I think the chef must have been having the night off!

Had to be moved room after arrival to a smaller room as tv and phone did not work. Brought our own plastic tumblers to drink from, but these were removed from the room by the cleaners after the first night and have not been located since.

Nice hotel but evening totally ruined due to a loud rowdy rude aggressive party in the hotel. These people virtually took over the hotel toilets were covered in broken glass bottles we had to retire early to our rooms as did all the other guests.Felt sorry for your staff they felt very intimidated I did email a complaint to the hotel but received just an apology which isn't good enough for a ruined night away for my birthday which was a disaster I am an Accor club member and was in the Mercure in Maidstone which was an excellent experience but will not be staying at Novotel Stevenage anymore. Even the next morning the aggressive party were still being abusive and the police were called how did these YOBS managed to get booked in your hotel many decent guests had a disastrous stay and I am sorry but just an apology is not good enough which I am sure will reflect on trip advisor. staff were friendly upon arrival, we had a young child with us and were able to check in early which was great so that he could chill before the wedding that we were attending. My only disappointment is that you take advantage of a wedding party and charge double per room.

Checkin was smooth and efficient. Guest suite was large, modern and most comfortable. Meals were of particularly good quality and the staff in the restaurant at both breakfast and dinner were very friendly and capable. Checkout was equally efficient as checkin.

Very nice hotel and friendly staff. Bedrooms are laid out well - I like the separate toilet. Shower was lovely. Bed comfortable. My one gripe is that no-one had updated the Freeview channels on the TV, meaning that after the last few upgrades, half the channels were not working.
