« Small hotel within inner ring of canals, conveniently located for trams and metro, together with local bars and cafes. »

Good location, well appointed hotel but rather noisy, both internally and from hotel guests standing outside smoking. A ventilated but soundproofed room may therefore be appropriate if lawful. Unacceptably expensive full breakfast but no basic 'coffee and croissant' available. Friendly, multi-lingual staff.

« Good and bad in equal measures »

Staff were very friendly. Room was very hot, despite the radiator being off and the aircon being on. It made for uncomfortable sleeping. Bathroom not so good - the shower kept flooding which we reported twice but it never got fixed. The shower needs a soap dish installed- it was annoying having to keep my soap and shampoo on the base.

First of all I am sorry to hear that you didn't had a good night rest due to the temperature in the room. We do have an A/C but it is climate controlled. Regarding the maintenance thank you for reporting this unfortunately it wasn't solved during your stay I understand that this is not what you expect when staying in our hotel. We will have a renovation next year and we will definitely take your feedback regarding the soap dispenser into account. We were provided with maps and excursion options, with staff explaining how to catch tram or Metro. The room was reasonable and relatively quiet Staff were pleasant and obliging. The location close to trams and museums and local bars and restaurants.

lovely people on the team. reception made us welcome and did not allow rude people to jump the que. The rubbish under the bed was old and smelt. needs a hoover at least once a month.

I recently lost my passport on a trip to Amsterdam and had to make a last minute booking at this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, printing me documents to apply for a new passport and helping me with maps and directions. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. They give 5 Euros toward food and drink and the restaurant if you forgo a room tidy for more than one day in order to be more environmentally friendly, which I really appreciated. I would stay here again :)

« A Wonderfull stay! »

The hotel was in a quiet street yet very close to public transport which made it easy to get anywhere in Amsterdam. Our room was lovely.... large, comfortable and well furnished with some quirky touches...The Dutch Masters bedhead, the rocking chair and the touches of Delft in the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious... good variety of fresh food that was attractively presented. And finally the staff... all friendly and helpful...especially Daniel at check in who advised us on how to solve a problem we had had with an Accor arranged transfer from the airport.

« Decent basic hotel but beware non-central location »

Accommodation level was fair but basic. Location is pretty but non-central. Staff were polite and helpful. Disappointed that it didn’t have iron and ironing board in the room. The ones supplied on request were rubbish. So difficult to use as business hotel.

« Well located and cosy hotel »

We had an agreeable stay at the hotel Mercure Amsterdam Centre, as it is located at a short distance from the main museums which we did want to visit. Nevertheless, we have had no Wi-Fi in our room (224) and this during the threes days we were there. Good breakfast, but we would have preferred higher and more comfortable beds.

The overall experience is great: Great staff, Nice accomodation, outstanding breakfast and very nice rooms. The Hotel is well located and also a little away from the city center (5 min walking distance) which is great to have a quiet evening. Will suggest to improve the bar food offering since it´is quite small.

- great breakfast - decent rooms. My second stay here. The room I got this time (325) needs some reno in for instance new paint jobs in bathroom (paint is falling off windows, also needs a proper cleaning of window frame). largest point of feedback however is the extremely bad treatment of your own rules. The rack for towels in the bathroom carries the environment tag, stating that if you put your towels on the rack they will not be replaced, helping the environment, planting trees, etc etc. Consistently over my stay (6 nights) the towels were replaced from the rack. Even after complaining about it it stayed the same. Basically it seems like you are greenwashing your efforts, claiming to do good, but in reality - nothing is done. If its still the case next visit, I will change hotels. Its 2019: deliver on your 'green' promises. Not just in words, but also deeds.
