We had booked another hotel for our stay in Brugge, but it was not to our liking and we switched to Novotel. Our stay at Novotel was good. The room was spacious and the pool and bar area was a good place to relax after many hours of walking. The outdoor pool is one of the reasons we choose this hotel. Found one gray silverfish (bug) in the bathroom by the toilet which can travel with you home in the luggage, but i hope it was just this one bug..

« Great hotel but unlucky with room allocation »

The hotel is greatly located and well maintained. It’s clean and offers lots of amenities and services. The nearby parking garage is cheap and very convenient. We were unlucky with room allocation since our room was by the street and we had trucks parking one meter from our window already early in the morning. The noise wasn’t terrible but nevertheless annoying. It’s too bad that the breakfast costs 21€ per person per day. We really wanted to have breakfast included but the price seemed overkill.

Lovely hotel in a central location. Parking is in an underground public car park next door at just under 9 Euros for 24hours. Theres a small fridge & a safe in the room and there was a free bottle of water too. There is a Carrefour express opposite for basic essentials that you might want. Tv has BBC1 & 2 in English. We didnt have breakfast as it seemed pricey. Bar looked nice & reasonable prices too although we didnt use it. Theres a swimming pool and outside seating which looked nice although we ran out of time to use it!

The hotel is in a great location. The rooms are clean. Breakfast is lovely and the staff are courteous and helpful. The pool is a bonus. My only very small criticism is the tea and coffee facilities. Real cups please.

« Small windows but a sumptous breakfast »

Only 5-10-15 mins walking distance from most sights in old Brugge, this is a great hotel. The windows are located high on the wall and small, but the AC works very well. The pool is not heated and has no afternoon or evening sun, a bit cold yet refreshing. Breakfast was great, and there is a kids corner to keep the small ones occupied while the adults finish their meal. Parking in the adjacent garage is around 9 euros per day, acceptable.

« Great stay in a fantastic location with excellent facilities »

We had a lovely stay. The location was fab and we were lucky as the weather was beautiful so got to make full use of the pool after a day of sightseeing. We were very impressed with the breakfast and facilities overall. The room could have benefited from being slightly bigger for a family of four however it didn’t detract from the stay and we were also very grateful for the excellent (and quiet) AC in the room which meant we still had a great sleep in 40C heat outside!

The rooms in this Novotel were extremely small compared to other Novotel hotels. The beds were terrible, the mattresses were much too soft, the pillows were lumpy and when I asked at reception if there are any other pillows available the answer was negative. As Accor Gold member there are virtually no benefits (except for the free welcome drink and a bottle of beer), no room upgrades, no Nespresso machines in rooms, nothing. Given the choice of hotels available in Bruges, I regret having chosen this hotel and if we hadn't booked on a pre-paid basis I would have checked out after one night and gone somewhere else. I have slept better and more comfortably in Ibis Budget hotels which are half the price.

The preference for softness of the bed varies from person to person, but I am sorry to read that you woke up with back-ache. I am happy to see that you are a gold member and loyal to our chain Accor. Unfortunately we only have 1 room type, and therefore it is not possible to give an upgrade. We always provide our nicest rooms to our VIP's. I will take your suggestion into account to provide a Nespresso machine in the room. The hotel is ideally located for the centre of Bruges, around a 10 min walk away. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean and room spacious, an added bonus was the outdoor pool, which despite the summer heat was still rather cold!
