Having been on the road for most of the day, including spending about two hours in a "bouchon" caused by road work, we finally arrived at Ibis Inthe evening just to find an empty reception. The only person in the vicinity was one in the nearby bar. When asked about a receptionist, she pointed at a group outside the hotel. She made no love to get anyone until asked. I have spent some years of my life in hotels in various countries, but never experienced anything similar. The hotel and restaurant are nowadays to different entities. This being the case the two need to cooperate. We decided that we'd have dinner in the restaurant. Last year it took a lonely cook more than one hour to prepare and serve a decent meal. The absence of staff was obvious. This time we got unwashed cutlery, blamed on the dishwasher. Inspection of cleanliness was missing. The meal, however, was delicious to say the least. A vast improvement on last year. The same can be said for the breakfast. Very good. We recommended one of the dishes to another couple that thourougly enjoyed it.

« Brilliant hotel, let down by dinner service. »

We loved the calm outdoor bar, the easy parking, the very comfortable room and helpful staff. But we were very disappointed with our dinner. We waited and waited.. and waited for our main courses - about 1 hour in all. Much too slow. Staff were very apologetic, but it was clear they were too busy/not properly trained and our order had been forgotten. To make things worse, we were charged for cheese which we cancelled because we had already waited so long for the main course. A poor experience.

« Very satisfied with our welcome and facilities. »

We have stayed at this hotel many times and it is nice to have staff who remember you and give you a warm welcome. The hotel was extremely busy but our meal was still served promptly and was of the usual standard. We will use thi Ibis hotel again.

« A dissapointing stay outside Colmar with a poor breakfast. »

The entrance was confusing, the room was clean but small and the two single beds were very small! Breakfast was not the usual high standard we expect for Ibis hotels. The bathroom was also small and it was nearly impossible to have a proper shower as the shower was in a very small narrow bath and it was slippery and dangerous.

nice hotel in a very good place near Colmar the staff was very nice and helpful the room was nice and convenient. close to the hotel was a bio supermarket and places to eat. we ate one evening in the hotel restaurant's and was very disappointed, the food was not tasty and not hot enough and expensive.

« Worn out hotel not quite keeping up with other IBIS hotels. »

The hotel lobby is nice and also the staff is attentive on arrival and departure. Location is easy accessible by car and it is just a short drive into Colmar. Rates are usually reasonable. In general the hotel is quite ready to undergo a renovation and rooms / bathrooms could be cleaner. Compared to some modern IBIS branded hotels it is not up to the group standard.

« Good basic hotel »

We stayed two night here. The room is clean and basic. A little old times for example they use key not room card and the WiFi is just ok. No kettle in the room so that u can not get hot water by yourself. Parking is so convenient and there are enough Parkplatz. And nearby there are supermarkets and McDonald’s and one Chinese restaurant.
