I never have any complaints and I often stay here. It is really handy for the airport and I nearly always hire a car from Sixt which is right behind the hotel. Plus, I always sleep like a log here !!!

« A good start to our holiday. »

We always start our holiday with a restful night at the Ibis Luton. There is a 3 am start, booking in, 2 1/2 hour wait, 1 hour delay, 4 1/2 hours sat in a plane, wait for luggage, (why is it that first on is last off and always 20 minutes between cases when checked in together?). Without that good meal in the Ibis restaurant the night before and a good nights sleep, we would need a holiday to get over the journey.

« A good nights rest. »

We have been staying at the Ibis Luton for 7 years, 3 times a year, before our early morning flight. We were met and greeted by name, which made us feel welcomed. We ate in the restaurant, a very high standard of food and service. An early start, no hassle booking out. We were set up for the 8 hour trek through airports and flight. Co-incidently, the man sat next to us on the plane had been in the restaurant the evening before, and he always stays at the Ibis.

One problem, couldn’t get into the car park, the barriers were broken and no one answered the buzzer. Had to abandon the car and go into hotel to try to find someone to help.

I'm not a fan of the having to wait around whilst one of the bar staff finally looks over and sees you and comes over with their handheld device to check you in. A larger stock of coffee and milk would help as you seem to have quite hard water there. The biggest failure was that housekeeping never even set foot in the room, fortunately, the bar staff were able to supply coffee and a jug of milk. The restaurant has quite a varied selection of items and everything i had was excellent, very friendly staff as well. The fact that the restaurant is open to 2300 was a big positive to me having to travel back from London (two nights with you for the price of one in London - nice)

I am flight crew, based at Luton, and over the last 14yrs I have stayed at your hotel numerous times. This last visit was not a great one. I was on a lay over, on minimum rest, and the room the guys gave me was right next door to the elevator shaft. As I know from past experience, apart from the sound of hydraulics, doors open and closing o every floor, you also get the sounds of people in the lift car until all hours of the night. So I went down stairs to ask for the room to be changed, which they very kindly did. The second room was in a good situation but the air conditioning just did not work. I had hardly any sleep because the room was too hot. I told the guys at reception. They told me they would tell maintenance, which I am sure they did. But, as with past experiences I'm sure nothing actually happened.

« Easy stop for early morning departures »

All good re check in and check out, bar area welcoming, breakfast fine despite early hour and room comfortable. My only problem was 1st floor stairs. Room 144 is reached by lift, corridor and then a set of 3-4 quite steep steps. Why? Why no ramp? We had 3 heavy suitcases so arrival (and more importantly departure at 4:30am) was really uncomfortable. We are a fairly young, fit family but for any older or even partially disabled guests this would be a nightmare. You really have to sort it out. Otherwise, no probs.

I have stayed at the Ibis many times now. I am always surprised by how good it is. The hotel was extremely busy due to a cancelled flight and a consequent number of people with food vouchers. The staff were polite and courteous, despite being busy. The food was very good, despite the number of people.

The staff on the evening of arrival from the girl who checked us in (didn't catch her name unfortunately), the hotel team leader and Tiago in the restaurant (sorry if I got your name wrong) were all very welcoming, professional and friendly. Had a nice chat with the lady on the night shift. They had a rather rude individual complaining pretty unreasonably that it was hot during a heat wave but all staff members present handled him tactfully and respectfully while being abused for something which they had no control over so huge points to them.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant food and service very good. Rooms tiny but clean and adequate for overnight and passing through. Door Access key cards did not not work more than one time if at all! Advice and reviews did not mention Only local black cabs or National Express coaches can park or drop off near departures. All others must park in or near multi storey quite some distance for passengers that have difficulty walking or have much luggage. In rain it would have been awful. When asking reception for a cab explain that you need dropping at Departures and not downtown Luton!
