Very nice rooms and good location to all the main attractions. Our phone SIM s we bought from Paris stop working once we landed to Brussels. one of the hotel staff member went out of the way to contact them and fixing the issue. sorry I can't remember her name. but she was very nice. well recommend hotel. Not a great start. When I arrived I was informed that the room I had politely requested when I made the booking back in March (on the 6th floor) was occupied by someone who was also staying several nights. I had only requested this room as I had stayed in it on my first visit back in February and it was very pleasant and quiet. The room I was allocated was on the 2nd floor however it did have a similar view at the front of the hotel. I ate in the Crystal Restaurant for three nights and had very good meals however on the last night I did wait almost an hour for my meal to arrive from when the order was taken.

I spent one night at the Sofitel and received a warm welcome on arrival by the reception staff who executed the check-in process promptly. My room was delightful and I slept so well in the revered Sofitel mattress. I am following an extreme exercise regime at the moment and therefore the gym is an important facility for me to have access to when I travel. Having stayed at many other Sofitel properties before I was rather disappointed at the gym here – no treadmill and the overhead lighting did not work. I was able to make do with the weights available but it would have been good to have access to some kettlebells. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast the following morning – a superb selection of options ranging from fruit to eggs cooked to my liking. The local chocolate spread was a real treat! We had a slight hiccup on check out in relation to my own credit card being charged for the room, rather than my office’s travel agent receiving a bill-back, but this was sorted eventually. I would definitely return to the Sofitel and hope that next time the gym is a little more handsome in terms of offering! Merci bien et à bientôt !

The room needs urgent update. Worn out wall papers and furniture. They had to switch rooms for us. They forgot to put the Nesspresso included in the room category. Rooms are small.
