+The room felt nicely decorated, clean, structure seemed solid. I could not hear noise from other rooms, walls did not seem thin, floors did not squeak. +Room with Sofa comes with a small fridge, so you can cool your drinks +Nice bathroom -It felt i could not control room temperature. Perhaps it would be good to have extra cover in the wardrobe? -Rather expensive parking - 10pounds/night -Somehow breakfast was not as tasty as in Dolphin Hotel -Awful hissing sound from toilet flush -/+ Location is good but not excellent. Perhaps its subjective.

« Pleasant hotel if a little dated »

Hotel is in a good location but it is a challenge to get there due to queues for Ikea effective filling up the road for a mile or so along the water front. Not great town planning. Room was good quality but window and bed a bit small. Also hardly any toilet paper and only one tissue. Breakfast good but room a bit dark due to curtains on all windows.

« A little surprised at room & meal »

A little surprised meaning , the room a superior room ! was not up to the standard we expect for the price paid !! plus no wash basin in toilet , shower that was dangerously slippy and when used also made the floor outside cubicle very slippy too .... The meal at night , food was good but service was a lot to be desired , mainly due to lack of staff and a very busy dining room ... Really if prices are put up on busy times service should match .

Great stay, a few things could improve the status. 1. An extra towel or two in the room would of helped with three people staying. 2. The cross trainer in the wellness centre needs the internet or tv feed to be repaired 3. Room service food trays from evening meals left in the corridors for most of the morning.

Bed was ok. Room tidy. But small to be called executive. Swimming pool water needs to be cleaned and in general planing is awkward. No shower next to the pool. 1 shower in the changing room. Then you walking through gym to pool area. Great breakfast!

All staff as helpful as ever. Did not expect again to be offered a dud cable to connect your projector to my laptop - hopefully that cable has now been binned. Breakfast large plates for bacon/eggs etc were cold both days = room temperature - this mentioned to two of your staff to sort out. Room was clean as always and food in the restaurant fine for dinner on one night.

Good location, having an internal door is a good idea to reduce noise. Reception desks are a bit strange part hidden behind pillars, difficult to see which is free when busy. Very surprised to see shampoo/gel in small plastic bottles, most other hotels now have dispensers. Bed pillows not very comfortable

Our original booking was for the 7the October however we had to change this and it was very kindly handled by a member of staff to the 9th October, we paid the difference of £54. We were advised that no confirmation would be sent. We then responded to an email for online checkin for the 7th October and contacted the hotel to check the situation and they confirmed that we still had the booking for the 9th October and to ignore the 7th October as the system showed we had two bookings. When we arrived this was not the case the staff were quite abrupt and not welcoming and advised that we were a no show for the 7th October so did not have any reservations. I was shown the screen which meant nothing to me as I have never worked in an hotel so didn't understand what I was looking at. I explained everything but could not remember the names of the people we had spoken to. The reception team could only advise that anyone in the hotel could answer the phone if they were busy and that there were no notes in our booking. I was not happy that anyone in the hotel could have access to our details as this breached confidentiality but this was not understood by the reception team. They stated that confirmations were sent automatically so if we did pay the extra money we would have been sent something. At this point I felt that we were trying to get something for nothing which was not the case. This led me to ask where the money had gone as it had been taken from the bank I then asked to speak to a manager or someone in charge. The lady went to speak to a manager and after what seemed about 10 minuets the situation changed and we were given 2 rooms. I appreciate that reception have a very difficult job but we never received an apology. We were moving house and had everything packed so going home was not an option. We had dinner in the hotel which was lovely and the rooms were were of good standard. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff couldn't be more helpful which was a great ending to our stay.

The computer was "down" so had 15 minute wait before being checked in. Not welcome after long journey. For a premium hotel, I would have expected a drinks voucher / coffee voucher for inconvenience. Waitress at dinner table. Needs mentoring over customer care. Nice person but needs training on how to talk to diners. Maitre d - Served (not sure why not waitress) me my club sandwich. Asked if I wanted sauce. Said yes to ketchup. Never bought to table. BASIC!
