Nice is so lovely. The hotel’s location isn’t that good than I thought for a short trip to nice. Breakfast and superior room at the hotel is very good. Swimming pool area at the roof top is much more smaller than I thougt and not that confy.

« Great staff, questionable stock control in the kitchen »

The room, facilities and customer-facing staff were great. But to run out of pasta on the dinner menu twice within 3 days (and this is at the beginning of service, not the end) raises questions about stock control in the kitchen supply chain. On each of the two nights we ate in the restaurant, there was no pasta (rather important for a hotel full of families during the school holidays) and at least one other dish from the standard menu was unavailable within the first hour of dinner service (and not because the restaurant was filled to capacity from 7pm on the dot). In comparison, breakfast service was extremely full, with the restaurant staff being very creative so as to seat as many people with as little waiting as possible. However, the quality of the breakfast offering didn't seem to be quite up to the standard of other Novotels we've used in the past.

« Toilet not cleaned good enough, and very dirty under beds. Worn down room »

We have stayed at this hotel for the last 6 years. This is the first time we have not been satisfied - maybe we were unlucky with the room - it was not clean. Toilet also smelled of urine, and it was very dirty and garbage lying under the beds. We normally stay at this hotel every year, and we will most likely try one more time next year, but we need improvements if this shall be our hotel of choice for the future. Breakfast was still good.

The welcome and customer service were excellent. Staff were extremely helpful looking for a lost hat, responding to general queries and very welcoming to children. There were a few negative points - while the breakfast was excellent, a meal in the bar in the evening was not. The food was very tepid and we actually didn't eat it as we were worried it wasn't properly heated through. The room and bathroom were clean but decor a bit "dated". Plug in sink didn't work and not enough towels were provided -only for the adults.

The hotel is conveniently placed very near the tram T1 (connection to T2 at Place Garibaldi). Hotel rooms have a good size, including a large bathroom. However room interior is pretty plain and no shower curtain in the bathroom means that the whole floor is wet after bathing. The breakfast is excellent!

This was my second visit to the Novotel as per the first time I can only complement the staff from the front desk to the restaurant. Excellent customer service and extremely friendly. This time my daughter and grandaughter were able to use the pool which according to them was great with the poolside bar and their cocktails. A great experience again and hoping to go back soon.

Nothing wrong with the rooms, but the front desk staff were all so unhelpful. Couldn’t get a towel. Bag was returned from storage only after the receptionist had done every other chore and could be bothered. Nowhere to shower and change after checkout! Parking was expensive and difficult with many codes.

Hotel was modern and clean. Room was basic, lacked the usual comforts such as toiletries and a supply of refreshments i.e. only one very small bottle of water between three adults! Staff were friendly and helpful and most spoke very good English.

Although this is a four start hotel, there is no concierge to help us with the bags! At check out they asked us for city tax ! This should be included in the hotel charges. No answer from room service when you call at night.
