Everything was OK but after all we have received the ticket (£100 to pay!!) for a car park! Lady on reception said if we register the car, parking will be for free so we did any anyway we got the ticket..

This is my fourth stay here. As always, a pleasant experience. Easy to get to, ideally situated for metro into Newcastle. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was big with added bonus of a mini fridge and a safe. Didn't eat here but Toby Carvery next door is excellent. Free parking a bonus. My only criticism is that I feel the carpets are in need of replacing.

Cleanliness good, rooms service cleaning good, staff at fresh helhful and ambience alright. Food was a let down. Breakfast not worth it as half of the items missing as it use to be few years ago. English breakfast all the items dried up and in the hot shelf too long as no rotation is being done. I can understand if it’s free breaki with stay people with eat anything and won’t mind but when it’s paid it’s needs working big time..

I am shocked that you could possibly make such a review, as General Manager i have personally observed my team working tirelessly to meet your every request On both days that you ate breakfast I was on duty and oversaw the buffet, which I can assure you is replenished and refreshed every 20mins... I will not accept that items were dried up and not rotated. Breakfast is not free- however it was to you on both occasions due to your complaints. « Disappointed and confused by the standard of Novotel Newcaste Airport »

I was visiting family in Newcastle for a couple of days so I decided to stay in a hotel. After some consideration I decided to stay at Novotel instead of the Premier Inn or Travelodge, as I assumed the standard of the hotel would be much better. I was incredibly confused and surprised after I checked into the room. The quality of the rooms was poor and outdated, with old stained carpets for example. There was a single usable plug in the room. To make things worse, there was ongoing construction work in the morning so I couldn't sleep properly. Overall it was an extremely dissatisfying experience.

What I expect from a hotel: room, bathroom, service, parking, location excellent. Could have had some more cupboard space. During the weekend and peak times breakfast somewhat difficult: not everything available, place dirty (understandable due to the large presence of families with children). The atmosphere and stay was obviously more pleasant when the large family with small children groups had left.

Even though this wis a chain hotel, it didn't have a corporate atmosphere. The staff we encountered in reception, the bar and restaurant were really friendly and provided a great service. The pool was clean and breakfast delicious!

« Well priced for a short stay ....... »

I have stayed here before and re-booked based on the last time. Check-in smooth and hassle free - pleasant, polite and efficient young lady at the desk. Requested a room with a shower and near the lift (elevator) and was given just that - perfect. Room good, clean and with everything in working order. The only criticism I would have are the pillows - very hard but that is a personal observation. Would stay again and would recommend.

my experience was satisfactory, the initial customer service was good as I arrived slightly early and as a room was available was allowed to check in. The room was very dated and the door did not close properly on its own, as I was staying for just one night and the door could be locked with a push this was ok. The hotel is undergoing renovations at the moment and hopefully it will be better in the future. For the price I recieved what I exspected

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Hotel under renovation and about time,stuck of paint as you walked in,felt sorry for guests sitting in dining area. Rooms substandard we were thinking of staying a 2nd night but not at £70+. Lights not working,toilet had discussing marks on the walls!

« Would think twice about using this hotel again after being involved in an evacuation which was a complete fiasco »

The room was clean, the hotel lovely. But having been woken up at 6 am by the fire alarm and witnessing guests telling other guests to go back to their rooms as it was a false alarm. The 2 staff on duty had no idea what to do, had little information about what was actually happening and were allowing guests to tell others to return to their rooms. What if there really had been a need to evacuate the hotel. I thought it was unsafe practice and would think twice about using a hotel that does not regard their guests safety as important. I have tried on several occasions to speak to a manager about this with little success.
