« Nice hotel but not so nice personell »

We reserved well in advance the room for three persons, my doughters of 17 and 15 years old and me. The receptionist was polite, he informed us that he just authorised my credit card minutes ago and he will charge me again for the rest of amount. Surprisingly the room was prepared for only two persons but we had reservation for three. We had to wait that they aranged third person bed. But the biggest surprise was in the morning at check out. Lady at the reception said, that she will charge my credit card for additional amount for the third person. I said that my doughter is 15 and according to our reservation third person of 15 years or younger is free of charge. She insisted that my credit card will be charged. At the end my credit card was charged four times, first for 0.01 EUR, then for 91.99 EUR, after our arrival for adittional 55,49 EUR and after check out for 117,49 EUR which is together 264,98 EUR. According confirmation of reservation I should pay only 97,49 EUR. So I really doń´t understand why ther charged almost triple amount. Othervise we were satesfied with our room except very dirty windows.

We had assigned a really small room. I asked to be upgraded (paying, of course) but they answered that executive rooms was as large as the one we had (impossible, I know very well Novotel and we were in a executive suite just a week before). Bad small in the room. Not a 4 stars hotel, in our opinioni.

The toilet in my room was all the time blocked, instead of changing my room I was told to be using the toilet in the first floor or the one in the restaurant. Which was really bad coming from the 9th floor with the kids all the time, as if I was staying in an Hostel.

Had a dreadful experience with an extremely rude and discourteous staff member at check in. I travel considerably with me work and have asked that I no longer be booked into a Novotel as a result. Extremely disappointed and I will share my experience with my work colleagues and encourage them to stay elsewhere as a result also. Unhelpful, arrogant & probably worst experience I’ve had in years.

This is our second time at the hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed it - it was certainly a stark contrast to the experience we had had just the night before at a different hotel. The staff were amazing, it was wonderful to have such professionals who are great at interactions and ready to answer any questions. The room was very spacious, perfect for our family of four, it was very clean, had little details that made it that much more pleasant (a kettle, some tea, a fridge), and of course the view from the 18th floor was pretty spectacular. Nothing but good things to say. Breakfast was so good! Waffles, fresh fruit, a tasty fish dish (still don't know the name but it's stuck with me) and lots of pastries. In addition, the kids little playroom is a godsend when you need a couple of minutes of calm and personally I love the location - calm area, a supermarket not too far and if you're using public transport there's a tram stop, a bus stop and metro station all with walking distance (about 8-15 mins depending on your pace). All in all, I would definitely recommend. And considering the location and everything I think next time we will just s. there and go to other cities - at least we will have a welcoming place to come back to for the night (I do wish breakfast was a bit less pricey...).
