Location is very close to old port and other interesting sites of Marseille are in a walking distance. Good breakfast, very helpful staff. Rooms are very old and definitely need renovation.

Good value of money. Great location. Big shopping center is near. Easy walk to the old harbour and the center of the city. Silent and clean room. Breakfast is great. Car parking is not best, difficult find an exit and go to hotel.

Overall I liked the hotel. However, on the morning of July 4, 2019, I was awakened by the sound of a man’s voice in my room at about 10:00 AM. Keep in mind that I had the Do Not Disturb sign outside my door. Needless to say, I was shocked and very frightened! The man kept trying to tell me something in a language I couldn’t understand. He didn’t try to hurt me, but he didn’t leave the room until I had yelled at him to get out at least 3 or 4 times. I complained to the young man at the front desk, and he went to get a woman with short blond hair to talk with me, and she seemed like a manager. She was not empathetic and did not even say she was sorry this had happened! Her response was that this was not a problem because she knew the man was the window washer and that he was kind and gentle and wouldn’t hurt anyone. She should have shown more kindness toward me, the customer, and she should have offered to reimburse me for my room so that I had a free hotel stay. I am requesting that I be reimbursed for my 6-night hotel stay, as I feel this would be the compassionate and decent thing to do. I was there from the night of July 3, 2019, through the night of July 8, 2019. Sincerely, Margaret D.

First : Good reception at the arrival Second : Dirty towels - seems they have been watched 1000 times !!!! 3rd : Call to reception - Ask for a iron - no feedback until you call back again. 4th : 2 or 3 IRON for the whole hotel - So no iron available during my whole stay. 5th : No personal available for any queries 6th : Breakfast worst than a 1star hotel - only eggs are Ok. 7th: very bad experience overall - 200 euros per night for this service????????

It’s comfortable location, nice room, perfect work of housekeeping, reception and very good breakfast. But we were a little bit confused that the fridge was working not normal temperature. Actually it was around 10 degrees. Also we asked 2 glasses for wine tasting in our room, but this had been rejected. So We had to buy these glasses in market.

« What the hell kind of 4-star hotel is that?????!!! »

AWFUL!!! Booked a 4* hotel for our anniversary trip, expecting a full-service hotel, once we had checked in, realised it was more of a no-frills 3*, if that were possible. More along the lines of an Ibis hotel. Digustingly awful textured walls in our room, bathroom was all plastic, and rainfall showerhead dripped a few drops of water at full pressure. Normal showerhead had good pressure but was at waist height, so washing my hair was a terrible experience. Very small tv in our room. Room service menu was just a thin A4-card printed on both sides. I wish I had taken photos. Hotel services menu was similar. In the mini bar, was 1 small bottle of water between husband, infant, and myself. Faint smell of cigarettes lingered in the room, even though we kept the window open at all times during our stay. We were both bitten on our legs by something on the first night. No cot for the infant was offered. Upon calling technical services to fix the showerhead, we were told it's not possible as it is Sunday. Very very very disappointed with the product and service.

This hotel is definitely value for money. The staff are up to Accor’s high standards from reception to restaurant. But the beauty of this hotel is its position. My wife and I were able to explore old Marseille on foot with ease and return via the attached shopping centre. Our only disappointment was the quality of the WiFi. We were only able to get on when we were in the restaurant.

We enjoy staying in the Mercure Privilege rooms, the rooms are bigger and well located in the hotel. This hotel is close to the Old Port, the parking is secure, relatively easy access to the hotel. We'd recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Marseille.

Very poor experience staying at this hotel. Elevator was broken when we checked in and was put in a room on the 6th floor without any assistance with carrying bags up all the flights of stairs. Power was also not working in the room so was unable to charge electronics which we required. Room was also without a sofa bed as originally booked for. Check in procedure was long and tedious.

Very GOOD choice of hotel by the Franco British Association of Architects for our Marseilles Reunion. And for me, 78 year old: most helpful reception staff, excellent breakfast choices, very good location and clean, pleasant and comfortable bedroom. A little too much noise from the bedroom above mine late in the night, but those problems have to be expected sometimes.
