« Nice hotel, sad about the breakfast »

The newly-refurbished bedroom on floor 6 was good although the shower pressure was not very great. I like a stronger shower! The breakfast was not so good: It didn't feel that the chefs were proud of the breakfasts they cooked. The fried egg whites were slightly underdone, the sausages were out rather too long, the bacon felt distinctly unloved, and the black pudding (available on 6th but not 5th) was overcooked and dry. The hash brown was, well, the idea behind it is that it's fried potato and onion, and these were dry and not exactly tasty. Could definitely do better, is my feeling. And... No croissants? Interestingly, the survey and invoice emails were sent to me in German. I work in Denmark and I'm English. You might want to think about that, too...

We stayed here the night before an early flight. The reception, bar and staff all pleasant. We stayed in a room next to what we can only presume was a boiler house. We were woken at 4.30am by loud noises, almost like a drilling sound and then noises like a boiler was firing up. This happened several times and resulted in us not sleeping from then on. We informed reception on our way out. Probably shouldn't be used for guests it was that loud.

Room 300, was dusty and looked like it had last been updated in 1980's. Our biggest gripe was the stench of smoke in the morning which seemed to be coming through the vents

Poor, we arrived approximately 10.50pm having reserved on line and had our print out of reservation to be told that we had a reservation for 3 adults by the receptionist when we had booked and a confirmation of 3 adults and 1 child in 2 rooms. We were told that we were wrong and that is what we had reserved we showed the on line confirmation. We were told they did not have twin room? my 2 sons had to share a double bed? at 21 and 14 not ideal, good job not son and daughter? We went to our room and got to bed. At precisely 4am we were amazed to be woken to the conversation of the couple next door deciding on what to where to travel in on the aeroplane. ( unsure of your acoustic rating of your wall build up is ) Eventually we went back to sleep after listening to the planes taking off ? We were then awoke at 8.05am by the cleaners hoovering the room next door and corridor outside so we got up, I went to shower and after standing in the bath the water pressure from the shower was not sufficient to reach me so I had to hand shower myself? We checked out and spoke of our concern and disappointment to the morning receptionist whose response to the noise was " are you had a connecting door? ( obviously not acoustically sound) Her response to the lack of water pressure was " well in a morning there may be lots of people showering". You are supposed to be an international hotelier but are obviously not engaging with the needs / demands of a international market. The responses were what I would expect from a seaside guest house with the added insult of having to pay £223.00 for the poor quality experienced. Please explain the inadequacies experienced because I cannot imagine what fantasies you will create. Yours sincerely A very disappointed guest.

« Key did not work first time and water pressure in shower was very poor. »

Key card to the room did not work so I had to go back to reception to get it to work. I was told my receipt would be put under my door for fast checkout but this did not happen. The water pressure in the shower was very poor. This was a refurbished room

I arrived to check in only to discove the online booking I had made was cancelled and my money taken by a 3rd party online booking service. I then had to book again and replay a further £420 on top of what I had already paid. Breakfast not as good as normal, food undercooked, coffee not great, limited choices, as the restaurant was being refurbished, so everything was moved to the bar and reception area. I've stayed here for years, but will try for a cheaper option next time. On a plus, rooms are comfy and quite. Whole weekend I had planned ruined by the extra cost I had to fork out, with no come back whatsoever.

I’ll be Brief we arrived about 1.00am in morning for check in from our flight in. 2 adults 1 child we w3re given our room card once paid and the lady on reception was very nice. Once we entered the room the was a double bed made up and NO SINGLE bed made at al not even any effort, we can only assume the was massively forgotten. My wife then went back down stairs to ask if there was any bedding as this had been forgotten, she did return some 10mins later with some for our sone then we made the bed up. Please let me know you’re views on this . PS Having my own Air Conditioning company myself I can’t believe I have to see filters so blocked on a AC unit the filters need to be keep cleaned as this prevents the fan from being so noisy and the system will then struggle to meet any such set point temperature.
