« Ok but hotel is a little tired »

Stayed here for a few nights last week whilst I was at an exhibition at the NEC. Staff are good, rooms are ok but expensive for what they are. Rooms do need a bit of maintenance, a plug socket hanging off the wall was reported to reception but hadn't been fixed a few days later, problems with the bathroom water drainage were not fixed either. Breakfast was pretty cold and slow service.

The hotel is very close to both Arrivals and Departures. We parked in Car Park 3 on the airport and this was within waking distance of the hotel. Adult food in the hotel was good, however the kids food was all you can eat buffet, which consisted mainly of chips, pizza, nuggets etc. It would have been nice to have a Kids menu where food could be order and prepared fresh, alongside adult meals. Breakfast was a typical business hotel buffet style. The hotel had some building work ongoing at the time of our stay, however the times of work did not affect our stay as work was finished at 6pm and we didn't hear them start again the next day.

The hotel,is close to the airport but needs some tlc. Reception is very modern, however the room I stayed in was looking a little tired in places.

The accommodation was good. It served us our purpose,i.e catching a early morning flight from Birmingham international. The hotel is just 5 minutes away from departures checkin. Sadly, the breakfast was not very desirable. The bacon and sausages were overcooked to the extent it was dry. This would not have been a problem if we had opted for stay alone.

The location, restaurant and decor is amazing. The rooms are cold. The room i stayed in had no shower. The TV didn’t work and when I informed reception when I checked out I was grunted at. Very impressive.

« Very convenient for the airport but lack of staff was apparent »

Used the hotel prior to an early morning flight. We wanted extra pillows but there was no answer from housekeeping despite trying several times via phone. We went to reception who were very helpful and sorted us out very quickly. The recent refurb was a bit shabby. There was a lack of quality to the painting and it looked like it had been rushed. We would use the hotel again as it is the most conveniently located for the airport.

Overall the experience was good - but the new upgrade to rooms is not good. The settees in the room are odd - modern shapes fitting for the continent but not in the UK. The toilet bathroom - one door design is not suited to the UK. Ive seen this on the continent but is not suited to the UK - lacks privacy.
