The hotel , position and staff are lovely . But we were there 4 nights - 2 nights we had the “ turn down “ service and two we didn’t. One of the days our room wasn’t serviced til 5 pm , and our bath plug was broken on arrival. The pool was accessed through the dining room and never any spare seats. The hotel was very busy and the staff very pleasant , just the service was a little inconsistent.

« Aix visit last minute »

We booked last minute on our way to Monaco, we loved the town so much we extended for a total of 3 nights. The hotel, room, pool and service were all great. If you have a car book parking in advance, as it is limited, but a station is close by.

« The People Make the Hotel »

I am a firm believer that a hotel is only as good as its people. MGallery in Aix-en-Provence has one of the most spectacular teams I have seen in a hotel in a very long time. Filipe greeted me in the car park immediately upon arrival with a very warm greeting and an extra speedy assistance because he saw that my infant daughter was not feeling well. Throughout my stay he was always present and recognized us - running around the side entrance to let us in with the stroller, or helping to carry it down the steps. Truly a gem. The Front Desk team was extraordinary. If I could take Melanie home with me I would. Upon arrival she seemed to take it personally that my daughter was ill, and before I had completed my check in, she had already called to request that a doctor come to the hotel to see her ON A SUNDAY. But it did not end there - she followed up personally multiple times throughout the visit, and left a note upon our departure. Kevin was extremely gracious, and ran out to the pharmacy late at night to collect the medicine since my daughter was already asleep. He was careful to knock quietly and was back super quickly. He too remembered us throughout our stay. There were three notable individuals in the restaurant and I wish I had their names. They made me feel extremely welcome, even with a sick and messy baby. The first gentleman is French, with dark blonde hair, and served us Sunday evening in the courtyard along with a lovely young woman from Ecuador who was absolutely delightful with my daughter. The other young man had dark hair and was there Sunday evening and served us at the pool Monday for dinner, again, remembering who we were and asking how she was feeling. The icing on the cake was to run into the General Manager on Monday, and before I had a moment to say anything, she said "You must be the mom with the sick baby". THAT is how well they communicate and follow through, and THAT is how good the service is. I have spend my career in Guest Relations in luxury hotels, and when I called my husband to tell him about this experience, I told him that it was one of the first times that I felt treated the way that I have always worked to treat others. And for once, I can truly appreciate that service from the other side. I am forever grateful and cannot recommend the hotel enough. MERCI BEAUCOUP!

The hotel room and restaurant were very good. We had a very bad experience when we checked in and were told we could not park our car despite having been reassured by the reservation person that we could. It required us calling Accor Reservations who could not connect us to Customer Service but suggested we speak with a manager. The manager immediately handled it but it had taken about an hour and a half of us trying to deal with the issue. We also saw that on 7/17/19 AM a female front desk clerk who spoke Spanish was very unhelpful to an older Spanish-speaking client who needed to plug in some machine and did not have the correct adapter. The restaurant was quite good and the restaurant service was excellent.

The hotel is beautiful. Very comfortable rooms and the in-room refrigerator was most appreciated. Staff was very nice and helpful. I think travelers would find it useful if your website more clearly called out the limited on-site parking and warned people that when making reservations if traveling by car they should reserve parking as well.

Our hotel contacted us the day before we were to arrive to inform us that their AC was not working. This was during a sudden heatwave in July. They had already made arrangements for us to stay with the Grand Hotel Rene Roi. We could not have been more appreciative or pleased upon our arrival. The staff was professional yet personal, our rooms were sharp, the bartender staff made excellent crafted cocktails and provided good suggestions for placed to dine that night. Their location was also central to anything we cared to do and within walking distance. The buffet breakfast had many options and was kept well stocked. Overall, I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. We enjoyed our stay!

The hotel is a little dated but the staff are great. Gym is small but the pool got plenty of use in the Southern French Heat wave. As a gold Accor member I expected a better reception but I guess they were just very busy. Unfortunately this was my fifth and last trip to Aix but the location is great and overall I recommend it as a great spot to relax in Aix.

The hotel was lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed the rooms, the terrace on one of our rooms, the pool, the fitness center, and the location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The water with fruit at the front desk was a nice little touch. There wasn't enough parking for our first night but the front desk clerk gave perfect directions for how to get to the parking garage across the street.

« Pleasant Hotel ina very good location »

The hotel is nice although it may need some updating, as it's rooms are a bit old fashioned. I was used to another McGallery in Lyon and found this, although very comfortable, not at the same level. While being located in the centre of town, it also has a swimming pool, which is a great plus in the summer months. One can walk to all locations, which is wonderful. Rooms are nice, we decided to upgrade as the standard room was a bit small. Breakfast was great with lots of choice.
