« Super friendly and helpful staff »

I regularly stay at the hotel as an airline crew member, but this time I was there as a regular guest (participation to the Ironman 70.3 Pays d'Aix 2019). The staff, as usual, were very friendly and helpful. Super nice of them as well to prepare a nice breakfast at 5 o'clock in the morning, allowing all participants to load up some time before the race.

Our overall experience with this hotel was excellent. The accommodation was superb, the staff were very attentive and the food was great. We had a fabulous terrace which over looked the pool and the ambience was amazing.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights as a special birthday treat for myself. The staff could not have been more helpful, especially Vishnob on reception who went way above any expectations we could have wished for. We had the best breakfast that we have had in a hotel, apart from the Pullman Hotel,St Pancras, London. Again the staff were excellent. We had a room with a terrace, which was very spacious and we had a good view of the pool. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay at The Grand Roi Rene Hotel.

« Stayed before and pleased we did again. »

Very warm welcome on arrival from valet in parking our car, bringing in our luggage, checking in and receiving our room key. The hotel is so very near the city centre which is a bonus. Pool and patio area are excellent. Room was basic but well designed and furnished and clean. There is plenty of seating in the lounge bar area and the breakfasts are superb.

My friend and I stayed in Grand Hotel Roi René for a week’s Springtime vacation. The hotel is comfortable, but needs refurbishment of its bedroom floors. The bar is pleasant, but the food and service in the restaurant need improvement.

« Nice hotel but Accor Golf Status not deemed important »

It’s a nice quality hotel, well located in the city. Breakfast was very good. Only disappointment was that when checking in as an Accor Golf member I asked whether an upgraded room was available. I was told that unfortunately the hotel was full so none were available. Once in my room I went online to see what rooms were available for the duration of my stay. Surprise surprise all room types were available. Something clearly didn’t stack up. I was left feeling that the hotel want to give away upgrades and were hiding behind a pretence of being full and didn’t value Accor loyalty which is a shame.

We enjoyed our stay at your hotel. Although we arrived early we were able to check in. The location of the hotel is excellent and close to the city centre. The room was great and the service good. It was really nice to be welcomed by a member of the team while we were unloading the car. The rooms were great, with an inviting bathroom. On a very wet evening we were given umbrellas by the receptionist to walk into town. It was a pleasure to receive old fashioned service at a hotel for a change.

Our room was rather tired in its appearance , it was clean but the ceiling near to the air conditioning controls was cracked and looked as if the plaster was about to fall. Our dinner in the restaurant was fine, and service by both members of staff was very good. Upon checking out, the first girl at reception was unable to do this . We had to wait a good ten minutes for her colleague ( who was most efficient ) to check us out. Odd to have such an untrained junior on the reception desk at a busy time .

« Very nice hotel, great location and great price »

Check-in and check-out were very efficient and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast at the hotel is great, and was included in the rate. The room is well appointed and the bed is very comfortable, but the temperature in the room was very hot and I could only cool it off by opening the window, which then let in noise from the outside.
