We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay for two nights this time but we stay here at least 6 times a year and everything is always clean comfortable and the staff are always friendly. Breakfast was nice plenty to choose from. Dinner was nice and not rushed as at other restaurants it is. Staff checked often that everything was ok if we were enjoying our meal which we did. kept refilling our water glasses and asking if we needed a drink from the bar

From check in to check out all the staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. Not an issue as it was clean but the bathrooms are looking a bit old in my opinion. The F&B staff were tentative and the food was cooked perfectly.

It was a reasonable stay, except for one incident. A server spilled a large number of drinks on myself at a function. I can accept that accidents, like this, do happen. I was advised that the suit that I was wearing would be dry cleaned. They said it would be picked up from my room in the morning and returned in the afternoon. It laid it out on the hotel bed so it was clear which suit needed to be taken. I could not be there to hand it over as I had an event to get to. However, the suit was never taken and, as such, the dry cleaning was not done.

« Our stay was good but we were upgraded but the room was not to standard for an Accor Hotel. »

we arrived & they upgraded us to a Harbour view room. We are 71 and 68 yrs old. The bathroom had a shower over the bath that was very hard to bend your leg to get into shower. The tiles in shower were mouldy is some grouted areas, the plug for bath was no where to be found, the plug hole in bath had been repaired and had black stuff around it. The hand basin plug hole was a disgusting mess with scum at least 1/4 in. thick in it. There was an empty VB can in wardrobe we found this searching for the hair dryer. The restaurant food left a lot to be desired as ALL meals, meat chicken and fish were served with potato and spinach no other vegetables. We would not recommend this Hotel

Fine. Very busy due to school holidays. Small room. Staff ok. Clean hotel. Slow lifts due to being busy. Expensive parking but all of Sydney is that way. Extremely small pool area and not inviting.

« My husband and I had the most amazing experience at the hotel. »

From the moment we checked in to the hotel, we were greeting in a friendly and helpful manner. The wonderful lady on reception asked what made us visit Sydney, so I mentioned that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. She congratulated us, then gave us a bottle of wine as we checked in. The next day there was room service delivered to us: a decorated piece of cheesecake & a thoughtful card wishing us a happy anniversary. Whilst we were staying for the 5 days, 4 nights we had the continental breakfast each morning. The food was delicious and fresh and the staff were approachable and professional. There was one staff member in particular, her name was Jenny. I noticed her friendly, professional disposition straight away. Always smiling. Jenny would go out of her way to come & say hi to my husband and I. She would greet the guests with a big smile. She made our stay absolutely wonderful. Next time we come back to Sydney, we will definitely come back to stay @ Novotel! Please pass on our thanks to all of your amazing staff!! Paul & Danielle M.!!

Pleasant and comfortable stay with all boxes ticked regarding room and in-room facilities. A mishap at check-in due to a technical glitch was compensated with complimentary breakfast; gesture of hotel staff appreciated for this. Ternary is a wonderful set-up for a restaurant and buffet breakfast offered to guests was impressive. Accor member privileges well received and appreciate hotel staff for looking after my stay well.

« Lovely stay up until check-out »

Nice hotel with spacious rooms and in a great location. Staff was also really kind in helping my partner send a gift up to my room. My review would only be glowing had it not been for the breakfast charges added to my bill at check-out. During check-in, I was told that my reservation included free breakfast. My job made the reservation on my behalf and they do usually include breakfast so this didn't seem odd. I'm not usually a breakfast person but having travelled from Amsterdam, my body clock was all over the place and I figured I might as well go if it's included. I was really disappointed to then be charged for breakfast at check-out. I tried to inform the person at check-out of the issue but she wasn't helpful at all. When you head down for breakfast, there's someone waiting to confirm your room number. I asked why I wasn't informed that I'd be charged as I headed in for breakfast (as I've experienced at other hotels) and the check-out person had no response for that. I can understand if the check-in person misspoke but it feels dishonest to not confirm with guests that they'll be charged $25 (for each breakfast) if it's not included in their reservation. It was not the note I was expecting to go out on and left a bad impression on me.
