Superb hotel. Friendly staff at all touch points. Amazing cuisine at the restaurant. Beautiful rooms with walk in dressing and great Italian shower. Heaven for a long weekend. Only small negative point is fitness room is a little small and sombre. Would be great to see through the outside window! However machines are top class. Keep up the excellent work!

The hotel was NOT a 5 Star Hotel Needs updating. Staff courteous On the 2nd night we were awakened by a blaring alarm. No one new for about 10 minuets if we needed to leave. There was no real explanation as to what happened. I was up for the rest of the evening! I told the front desk upon checkout. I think I should have been given some kind of a credit and was NOt!

Black mold in many grout lines in shower. Soap scum on shelf of shower. No turn-down service unless asked for. Didn’t replace dirty towel put on floor of shower. Handle on window door fell off. Maid knew. Mediocre lunch. Believe bottled still water came out of tap and still charged 6 Euros. No real concierge service as is normal 5 star hotel.

Everything was great and we most appreciated the fact that we were able to send in afvance, one luggage with all our running gear so we wouldn’t have to carry it around Italy for the 2 weeks before our biking trip. « Pleased, but frustrated that upon arrival we were advised in both the restaurant and the bar that the kitchen had closed prior to 2PM. »

We arrived by car about 1:30 PM, and after checking into our room went to the restaurant (which purported to serve lunch until 2PM) and were told the kitchen had already closed - it was then 1:50PM. The bar told us the same. As a result we were unable to get a full lunch at the hotel, due to the kitchen closing 10 minutes prior to the advertised hours.

« Wonderful hotel, shame about the hot water »

We loved this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We just had one minor problem that prevents us from giving a score of 10. The first room we were given had no hot water. After a bit of a delay and some confusion, we were moved to another room. For the next few days, even in the new room, we had to wait 15 minutes for hot water to flow through when we wanted a shower. A couple of days before the end of our stay, it seemed to get fixed and was fine. We didn't complain the second time as we simply wanted to enjoy our holiday. Both rooms were beautiful, corner rooms with amazing views of the square below. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we were satisfactorily compensated for the disruption of having to move rooms. We spent most evenings in Le Bar for a pre-dinner drink and or a light meal. The atmosphere was great and the staff were wonderful, always giving us a smile and helping us with wine choices. The hotel is very conveniently located in easy walking distance of the Palais des Ducs and the centre of Dijon. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Dijon.

« Lovely hotel, great location, service lacking. »

We loved the design of the hotel, and the room was good, although it had a little too much furniture. It would have been easier to move around if the chair had been removed. There was a lack of staff - more staff are required for a hotel of this standard - and as a result service was disappointing and the warm welcome was absent. In the early evening we asked if we could have a table in the restaurant and were told that the restaurant was full - at that point there was just one table occupied. It would have been lovely if the restaurant had offered us a table for two courses to vacate at a certain time and would have left the feeling that we were being treated as hotel guests. The one person on reception tried to find us an alternative restaurant and eventually, after a number of failures, whilst trying to also serve other guests, she managed to find us a restaurant on the other side of town which was adequate but not memorable.
