Very convenient stay, nice, clean and comfortable room. Public areas in the hotel are not clean (elevators and parking area). Location is far from city center.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. At Mercure, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. I would like to hear more about the way our staff welcomed you, because it seems that it is the worst thing on your review. We are not used to receiving such bad remarks on our reception desk staff which is always trying his best to satisfy every request. I am sorry about the air conditioning in the room but as you might already have heard from our reception staff, in October we do not have anymore air conditioning because the weather is quite cold and we prefer our guest to be warm rather than get sick because of a cold room. We appreciate you sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Room service meal disappointing. Limited choice and quality of food not as high as expected. It would be useful if the Disabled garage spaces could be reserved in advance.

« A pleasant stay but we would probably look further afield next time »

Good price, only 20 mins walk from the centre, kind and friendly staff especially at the front desk and I the bar, rooms clean with only paper cups and three tea bags, dining experience one night is enough and being Monday no alternatives, pool needs a good clean All in all the staff did their very best but there need to be more of them especially as this property is apparently four star

Worst stay ever in an Accor hotel. After many years of member of which 5 years of gold/platinum we are never had a more bad welcome. By the check in kindly asked if an upgrade was possible. Answer was a short NO (if fully booked I fully understand of course, but the way was very crude). If I could have also a welcome drink for my wife (see had a congress for Zonta)? Answer no, otherwise they would loose there franchise from Accor!!! Accor was strictly controlling the welcome drinks... ???? and this for a Petit Chablis of 6,5€. I never had this in my live over 3 continents in Accor. If your are platinum, she liked to humilate the customer I had the impression. I went for a bottle of Saint-Veran myself. The last morning a asked for a short late check-out( 1/2-1 hour) because my wife was stil at the Zonta conference. AWNSER NO!!! why? all room must be ready by 6 pm, deslolé!! ( I was a "false désolé", see just liked to treat me bad!). I can not image that all the rooms must been clean at 12 sharp if so many are leaving at the end of the conference. Overall there was in the restaurant and the bar not enough staff for a fully booked hotel (!) near a conference center. The breakfast was to late refilled, only half of the coffee-machines did work and we need to clean a table owerself in order to have breakfast. Always go together as a couple to breafast in the morning! My wife went 15 min earlier because of her conference. The room nr was already marked and I could not get in (apparently I was considerd as a thief who wants 2 breakfast!) at the end I could get in.

The room was clean and comfortable. There was a kettle, a limited supply of coffee and teabags but no fresh milk. The dinner menu was also fairly limited. Charging for a more capable wifi was unwelcome. could The quality was good but a broader choice would have been appreciated. The breakfast buffet was good.

We were very pleased with the Mercure in Dijon, it was a really nice hotel and we felt looked after. Great staff on reception who were incredibly helpful and a very nice feel to the place. The pool was very clean and a good size and the bar area also very nice. No complaints whatsoever.

« Good location but room smelt stale »

We stayed here to break our journey from the south of France to UK. We stayed here last year and were very happy with the hotel. It is easy to find from the motorway and has free parking. Unfortunately on checking into our room we noticed it smelt of stale smoke. We complained but were told as the rooms were non smoking so shouldn’t smell. I asked if we could move but was told no other room was available although the hotel did not seem totally full. They couldn’t offer us any air freshener or any solution other than saying footballers had been staying in the hotel and maybe they had smoked in the room! This was not really satisfactory, but rather than spoil our trip to Dijon we just left it and went into town for dinner and put up with the stale smelling room. I can’t believe the cleaners hadn’t noticed this before our arrival as it was quite strong. Other than this it is a nice hotel with friendly staff and good breakfast but I’m not sure we’ll use it as a stopover again as it was quite expensive for a smelly room.

The evening meal with 2 glasses of wine was overpriced at€ €128 & the breakfast was not up to your standards with an incomprehensible coffee machine, no orange pressé, having to fry one’s own egg and stale croissants. British hotel chains of similar standing surpass this catering, as does Novotel Noyelles & Ibis Styles, Bourges.

1. Good location right in the centre of town. 2. Newly build/rebuild, modern design. 3. Nice room (706), spacious, comfortably furnished. 4. Comfortable bed and mattress. 5. Friendly waiters in the restaurant. Didn't like: 1. Receptionists were not friendly, didn't greet me as a golden Accor club member. They were arrogant and strict (9th of August, at 8pm). Gave a welcome drink voucher for me and my spouse only after I asked kindly.
