« A bad experience overall »

The front desk lady was very rude with us, I have a gold status on your reward points program, and tried to used my points for that night but she did not let me use them neither let me check in at the desk for members of that program. Also the room wasn't ready for us only 2 large towels in the room, no small towels, no hand soap, no shampoo, no shower cap, no drinking water available.

I use this hotel to be close to the airport, my final night stay before returning to the USA. So having a hotel that I can rely on friendly staff and comfortable surrounding is something I rely on. To date I have not been disappointed.

In room 403 the in house phone receiver was broken. Through the assistance of the desk receptionist I was able to tape and hold the receiver together to request wake up service. I asked that another receiver be provided and/or repaired; but was told they had no spares and the maintenance person was gone for the day. NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR A WORLD WIDE HOTEL SYSTEM—very disappointing.

We were upgraded to a suite, loved it ! Dinner in restaurant was very good, my husband’s prawn dish was his favourite meal in Would recommend and return. Find it strange though as Accor is a French company yet it’s the only country in our travels who don’t give 50 percent discount on dining using Accor card ! 15 percent was all we were offered .

« Just what we needed for one night before flying home. »

A friendly checkin from lowed by a nicely appointed room was a great start. Downstairs for dinner and a drink before a quiet night of sleep. The outside hotel lights seeped into our room meaning it wasn’t as dark as we had hoped. Breakfast in the morning was nice and easy.

Booked a suite for 1 night and 2 adults + 1 child. The 2 rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Some improvements to be made: Check-in process: the special queue for Platinum members was not active and its computer down. Was told to join the normal queues. Restaurant: long waiting time to get the menu and food. I had to go several times to the restaurant counter as the staff was too busy Breakfast: at 7.45am, buffet was not fully re-supplied: no oranges for fresh juice, one bakery basket totally empty, empty bottle of maple syrup for pancakes etc

I had an early flight, so I booked at the Mercure to be near the airport. I took the RER to CDG and followed the signed for the Mercure. This brought me to the Mercure Convention and not to the hotel where I was booked. I asked the desk staff how to get to the other hotel and was told that I could either get a taxi or go walk back to the shuttle train, go back to terminal 3 and get the hotel bus from there. I have a bad leg, so walking the half kilometer to the shuttle was not an option. I got a taxi, which cost me 20 Euros. When I got to the right hotel, I told them about the problem and their response was "yes, it's badly marked." Then then told me that there is shuttle service between the hotels but nobody at the Mercure Convention seemed to know that.
