« A nice hotel but needs maintenance »

The staff are good, but the hotel should really be better maintained. There are parts of the hotel which need serious attention. It is not acceptable for doors whatever their funtion to be hanging off their hinges.

We were travelling from Calais to the Dordogne and broke our journey at Val de Reuil as we did last year and will again on our return journey. Obviously if we didn't like this hotel we wouldn't stay again. Clean, comfortable and dog friendly. Excellent breakfast and good restaurants close bye for evening meals

« A great place to stay on the way back to England »

We had a very nice welcome and given the keys to three well laid out rooms which were very clean There was a very good breakfast in the morning but unfortunately, being Saturday no evening meals in the hotel, but we were directed to a restaurant next door complete with a voucher to give us 15% off the cost of the meal The young man on reception was very good and also looked after guests requirements from the bar

the door lock to the room was poor, you had to use power to get the door closed , so it was very noisy. also the door to the rooms hallway was very heavy to open with suitcases

« great location, excellent staff but the hotel needs updating as looks tired. »

We thought the location was great and the staff were excellent. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel was very clean and tidy. However the hotel needs to be updated as looking tired and our main concern that the hotel would not survive in the long term without a makeover, which would be a real shame as we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Warm welcome, comfortable room, slept well, good breakfast. Pity no dining room on week-ends, although grills walking distance nearby. Great stopping off point to/from Tunnel and to explore Rouen etc.

« Stop off to break up car journey. »

The hotel was clean, the staff were polite. Our room was larger than I expected and the bathroom immaculate. I cannot rate the restaurant as it was closed during our stay - however there were a numerous restaurants 30 secs away so this was not a problem. A very comfortable stay.
