« Short but wonderful stay! »

We only stayed one night on our way to a wedding in Serans, but boy, did we enjoy it! Romain at the front desk gave us an upgrade to a terrace room and we were ecstatic! We’re already trying to plan our next trip back!! The bell hops were so nice, too, but I don’t have their names.

As a huge Proust fan (and a fellow asthmatic who fled Paris for the sea air) I didn't know what to expect. The hotel was perfect. With modern updates, this hotel retained all of the magic of that bygone and glorious era. My family and I loved it and return as soon as we can.

We spent 3 days for my sister in law’s 60 birthday and everything was perfect. What is incredible is the commitment of all the members of the staff and that on good or bad days they are irréprochable in their dedication to service to the customer. That commitment is not only an excellent reflection on the individuals concerned but also on the management team. As for the rooms and the quality of food well there again the compliments flow - to all you out there looking for a memorable stay this is the place to go !!

« Best hotel and staff - amazing experience »

Only stayed a day since we had so much to do and see while in France. Too bad, as this is the one place my family wish we could have stayed at longer. The hotel itself is amazing. Beautiful, clean, upscale, spacious. But the staff is equally impressive. I felt like each person there truly wanted us to have the best time while we were there. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I loved our stay at the Grand Cabourg. We loved the whole weeks stay the hotel. You have a great team in all areas which makes a stay so enjoyable. Add to that the food that is on offer when coming down to breakfast becomes something one looks forward to and then experience the Sunday Brunch is the icing on the cake. Looking forward to our next visit !

I was seriously underwhelmed by the hotel. I now think the Mgallery brand is very hit or miss, in the same way the Mercure brand is. I’ve stayed in 3 Mgallery’s so far. The first was in Rennes and couldn’t have been more delightful if they’d tried, definitely 5 stars. The second in Vienna had a slightly tired appeal. I’m sorry to say from the moment I walked in the Grande Hotel I noticed the carpet on the steps to the lift was threadbare the room decor had wallpaper that had large worn parts on and looked as if the room had suffered a flood, the air conditioning sounded industrial. On the Tuesday evening around 10pm a small power fluctuation knocked the Wi-fi out at 10.30 I phoned reception to ask if there was any chance this would be resolved. I was assured by the lady it would be up and running very soon. The next morning I asked at breakfast nearly 12 hours later if there was a chance it would be working. I was informed I could do my studying by using devices in the foyer and perhaps the corridor. This was unacceptable for a hotel claiming luxury status. I’m saddened to say I don’t envisage visiting the Grande Hotel again and I’m wary of the Mgallery brand as a whole.

WE had a lovely stay but it as was spoilt by you not giving me the credit bonus that was specially held for me from my booking in 2018 as i emailed you of my illnes snd cancelled booking and when I booked for 2019 it was agreed that I would enjoy that benefit , so that was taken into my budget for my family stay . Both my wife and I felt welcomed. Went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A nice nite from the general manager was on our table, employees from the reception to the clerks were smiling as if we were the most important people out there.

Our accommodations were clean, spacious and comfortable with a pretty water view. We were charged for breakfast, which we did not have, but were amicably removed. Had there been an a la carte menu provided, perhaps we might have stayed for breakfast.

I booked a sea view and got garden view. Inquired and was moved 2 out of three days to substandard sea view room. Toilet was basically in a small closet with no sink. Shower and sinks down the hall. Had to move to garden view on the third night for weekend guests. Then I was charged $50 extra per night for sea view- but I had booked and paid for sea view. Plugged something in a blew fuses, not only for me but other rooms, too! And it happened twice. I question electrical there. I was charged for 2 breakfasts and had 1. Communication issue big part of that. Stilling waiting for hotel response on these issues.
